I have posted this on different threads before but wanted to give an update.
She has been battling adnoidcysticcarcinoma for quite a while. She had it in '93 and they operated and did radiation. 18 yrs passed and she had a car accident and they saw spots on her lungs. Lots of time pased before she had the surgery in 2011. They said the mass in the other lung was nothing. In January 2013 it's in the other lung and liver. She has had 4 chemo treatments which shrunk the one in the lung 4cm from 7 but the one in the liver grew a cm. Dr appointment today and they are discontinuing chemo because it is doing more damage to her body then good. She is down to 97 lbs. Don't really know what to pray but knew I could come here and ask.

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

Oh Darlene,
Thank you so much. So often you and your faith are my inspiration.
I was actually surprised today to see that I posted that to the forum. I thought I posted it to her e-mail. In such a hard time, people need all the help they can get. Joey

I'm sorry Denise, I just saw this. I am so sorry you all are having to go thru all of this just now. Will send prayers for your sisters health, your fathers move and you. Sending hugs too.
Maybe you are already in Florida. We live on the Gulf Coast and have the weekend off. If my DH and I can do anything to help with the move please let me know. Don't know what part of Florida you are in but if it is anywhere close we could help pack or load up the truck or at least bring you some home cooking so you don't have to worry about cooking or food. E-mail me and we'll do whatever we can. Also have a few days off next week if you need them. Joey

Thank you Lora. It does seem that way but I don't know what the Lord has in store for her. Whatever it is I know He is doing what is good.

Thank you so much. Each one of you are a blessing to me right now and I am so grateful for a place to come to and women like you to share what is on my heart.
I think she is failing but will know more when I see her.
Will be heading out tomorrow. We were supposed to leave this morning but things came up as they sometimes do.

Denise, I just saw this. I am praying for your sister and your whole family. God has a plan and we know it's a good one. I ask that it would be the Lord's will for a complete healing for her and comfort, strength and peace for the whole family.

Prayers for your sister and family. I am sure it is hard on your dad also, to know that your sister is not well. I do hope and pray that she will be as comfortable as she can and not too much pain. It is hard to go through all of that for all of you. I ad a daughter that died of a brain tumor when she was 7 1/2. She did have 4 good years before she did pass, but it was hard to see her like that. I am praying for all of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers both.

Thank you for your prayers. Some days I wonder why she didn't go sooner so they could have done something but then that is water under the bridge. She knows that even if they could do anything about this that this type of cancer comes back and next time it would more than likely be in the brain. She has said that she doesn't want that and at this point I think they are stopping chemo and just trying to keep her comfortable. We will be going to Florida soon to get my dad and move him here with us. She has taken care of him and my mom for awhile and now that my mom is gone he wants to come up here with us. I so appreciate any and all prayers. It seems some days there is a whole gamut of emotions that come and go.
