We are going into the Camp Ministry and we talked to the mission board at our church and they told us they would most likely be able to help us but only up to a few hundred a month. We were hoping for about $100 a month from them and then the rest from our churches growing up and friends/family... Long story short we are still at 25% of our needed support and our church will not support us... Their reason was that they raised the support of all their current missionaries they have none for us...

We are getting frustrated because we need to find a camper to live in for the time being so once we move out there and my husband begins his position there at the Camp we have housing until we are able to find a house to live in. At any rate the other churches we have contacted will not support us since our own, home church will not support us. Both of us know this is definitely God's plan for our lives and we know it will be in His timing for finances and housing to be provided but in the meantime it is a struggle for me to stay positive and not get frustrated and discouraged about it.

It's been 6 months now since we moved out of our own home and into my inlaws and there is just so much drama here with their neighbors and them that it is causing problems for us to the point that a neighbor trespassed onto my inlaw's property and saw my horse and reported to the county sheriff that my inlaw's are starving a horse and it needs to be checked out. They had no idea it was MY horse and that we are only living with the inlaws for temporary until we move and yes, we are taking MY horse with us. I know the neighbor felt badly about it finding out it was my horse and all but the damage is still done. The officer who came out was just disposable to the point I am going to call the sheriff up and let him now how awful his deputy was to me. He cussed me out for not feeding my horse (LIE) and that my horse was near death (LIE) and there was no feed for him (LIE) and that they are going to take the horse and give him to someone who can afford to feed him (over my dead body, I had that horse since he was a weanling!!!!). I asked him to stop swearing and he just got worse. No one here was hostile towards him or swearing and he was just awful.

At any rate 6 months with 3 kids and living with the inlaws is hard enough without nasty neighbors and finding out your church won't support you as a missionary all in one week has been REALLY discouraging to me.

Please pray for me and my family that God would provide the finances for us and housing quickly so we can move and get away from the drama.
Also pray for us as the officer is coming back tomorrow to verify that we got "real" hay, change the water EVERY day, heat his shelter and give him "better" grain.... It concerns us because we change the water once a week if clean and obviously more if its dirty, his shelter is a 3 way shelter and can't be heated, because of the drought down south and west most of the hay here got shipped away so we only have the year old alfalfa/timothy blend that we were able to find. They are picking on us because the officer said he should be fat and he isn't. He is just right. He said if we don't do what he says they are going to take him away from us. How can anyone be so mean?! I asked multiple other people that know the conditions my horse is kept and its A1!!! The horse has a 5 acre pasture!!!

Anyway please, please, please be in prayer for us during this time we are dealing with the officer and making ministry preparations.

Thank you so much farmgirls in advance and I will update on the horse, housing and finance situation as they change. Thanks so very much!

QUICK UPDATE: We were able to buy a camper and we are picking it up tomorrow! It is an '87 29 foot with bunks in the back, fold down table bed and pull out couch bed!!! It is in excellent condition and I plan on doing a little painting and maybe some reupholstery to decorate it a little bit to make it more homey since we will be living out of it until we are able to find a house! As of this morning no one has come out to harass us about my horse (who is doing just fine, like always). Maybe after they saw him they realized it was a ridiculous accusation. At any rate we will be getting the camper, home-ifying it, packing our stuff and preparing to move with or without the support we need. We just need to get out there and start our ministry knowing God will make a way. Please continue praying that our neighbors will leave us alone as we prepare to move, good health while we prepare and also that God will continue to provide for us financially. Thanks to all your prayers, I appreciate it so much!!!

Yes I agree with you on that too Debbie. The officer needs a lot of prayer to turn him around. Maybe he saw some bad things that day and decided her horse was just as bad. I am praying for you Krystal so that things will turn out all right really soon.
Take care

Krystle,

Sending up prayers for you and your family. Also I will be praying for that not so nice sounding officer. Sounds as though a good round of prayer is what he needs as well.

No excuse for his behavior.

Hang in there, God will reward your faith and He will provide.

Hugs and Prayers

Well the officers haven't come back yet, although we are assuming it will be any day. It's so sad people have to be so nasty. I've been giving him so much extra hay a lot of it is going to waste but I want to make sure the officer can't give me any problems again. That was an awful experience and I'm going to make sure they take my name off that call because it was defamation of my character as a farmgirl.

An update to the housing: We are going to look at some campers tomorrow!!! Maybe things are going to change for the better for us finally! God is good and I know it will all come together in His timing. THank you for the prayers, it is appreciated deeply!
