I'm hoping you girls can send up some prayers for my state, Wisconsin. They are trying to pass a mining bill to mine for iron in Northern Wisconsin. Such mining is devastating to the environment. I love my beautiful state so the thought of this breaks my heart. If you could send up some prayers that this doesn't go through, I would appreciate it!

Governor Walker says that WI is the Badger State and was named for miners. The minors would dig holes in the sides of hills for temporary houses and a visiting dignitary said it looks like a bunch of badgers...so be the name. The Governor is determined to bring the mining jobs back to the northern part of the state which desperately needs the jobs. He is also determined to preserve our beautiful environment at the same time. We should be able to do this, it is the 21st century after all. I too, love my beautiful state and all the natural resources we have. I also know that WI is on the right track with Governor Walker. We really need these jobs! Way better than getting all of our iron from China!

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
