While we should ALWAYS keep ALL our men and women in uniform in our prayers, this soldier needs some extra prayers...

A friend of mine is married to an airman who is stationed at Schofield in Hawaii. One of the young men in his unit was just hit with the bad news that his mom (a single mother) had passed away. Now this guy really is just a kid of 20. Imagine living half-way around the world when you get this kind of news - how horrible!

So it gets worse!

Turns out, he has twin 9-yr-old sisters. Who are now coming to live with him in Hawaii. Because he is their legal guardian.

This has to be so traumatic for all involved. These girls literally have to leave almost everything behind them for a new life, without their mom, half-way around the world. This boy, who is a newlywed, will now become a dad to his sisters.

Fortunately, my friend has organized a fundraiser so the young couple can have $$$ to buy beds, clothing, etc., for the girls. She has raised over $3,000 so far, which is really awesome!

But...

This newly rearranged family will still need lots and lots of prayers. So, I'm putting them on my prayer chain, and I'm asking every prayer warrior I know to do the same. Add them to your praises and prayers at church, call your family, your friends, your neighbors.

I want these kids to be literally bathed in prayer, to be lifted up when they are down so low. And I knew I could count on my farmgirl sisters on this one!

I will be praying . . . a very trying time for them all. I'm just grateful the girls have their brother to take care of them and provide a home for them.
PRAYING!

How sad and traumatic for the entire family. Breaks my heart!
Prayers going up, and asking that our Heavenly Father, will wrap His loving arms around them, and in Him may they find comfort and peace.

I will keep this special family in my prayers and close to my heart. How hard to have so many difficult changes to deal with. Ann- thank you for bringing this to our attention- prayers being sent!

Ann, what a wonderful things you're doing asking for a chain of prayers. I'll be praying for the soldier and his twin sisters.

That would be so tough for a young soldier. Praying this newly made family finds their way.

Praying for this young soldier and his little sisters, and his new wife. My heart breaks just thinking about this situation for them. I pray that God will Bless him with the wisdom he needs to step in and become somewhat of a father figure to these two little girls. God Bless him and his wife with much Love, Peace and Comfort during this difficult transition.
Hugs,

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..

Said a prayer and will continue to pray for them. I can't imagine how hard it is to lose a parent and then have to be uprooted from everything they know. I'm glad that they will be able to be together during this tough time, but I know it will be tough for everyone involved for the big change.

How very nice of your friend to have raised such a substantial amount of money for them.

Emily
