Talked with my folks last night. my SIL has had a complete psychotic break. she is in the Wounded Warrior facility near the base in WA state where she is stationed. sorry don't know which faciltiy. She has had problems for a long time but i guess everything finally fell apart. my brother and his kids are in NC at Ft. Bragg.
SIL is where she will get the help she needs. i am mainly worried about my two neices and my nephews. please keep them in your prayers and thoughts.

thanks to everyone. my brother didn't go out to WA state this weekend. i don't know if this is good, (SIL is doing okay and will be transferred soon) or bad (SIL is not doing good, and it would be a wasted trip.) and i have talked with my oldest neice, she seems to be doing okay. so i am hoping that all will be well.

Oh Charlotte, I am sorry to hear abou your SIL and her family. I know they will help her. I am a psychiatric nurse for the past 40 years and I work with this every day. I know how hard this can be. If I can help in any way-if you or your brother just want to talk-please just e-mail me. I'm here for you. Keeping you all I prayer.

Really thinking of your brother, the children and your sister in law. It must be so difficult for them--my former mother in law was a paranoid schizophrenic and bi-polar, so I remember too well the uncertainty and worry that goes along with these experiences.

Mental illness is so tough to manage. It's tough for the one who has the hurdles, but it's also equally tough for the rest of the family to witness as well.
