Today at the school where I work cleaning part time, I went to the 7-8 grade class and was cleaning the sink and asked how the teacher was doing and she said she had a really long day and it was a bad one, I asked her how come and she said that last night she had a miscarriage. She was about 2 months along. she had been excited about the pregnancy. I told her I would put her in my prayers and ask my friends to pray as well. while I was cleaning I was thinking about this and I just could not imagine how I would feel at the loss of this new baby coming even though it was still so small. You wouldn't be able to feel it yet but your heart and your thoughts would know it was there. I think that the loss had to be devistating mentally and physically. It would be to me anyway, I am asking for prayer for her. Her name is Jackie and prayer for her husband and two boys also. she is 36,
Thank you for being there.

Darlene, I miscarried my first child at only 7 or 8 weeks and it was extremely hard on me. I read the book "Until I hold you in Heaven" about 25 years later and I have to say it was a healing point for me. Just to know that one day I will see that precious child in Heaven was such a blessing!
Thanks for being there for her. The Lord had you right where He wanted you and you touched her for Him! She just might need a hug from you! You can ask :) !
Praying for her and her family.

Hugs, Ruth

Hi Debbie
Thank you for the tip. I am new at the school so I probably won't hug her but I sure will give her the book if I find it and tell her it is from you. I will look on Amazon. Most of our good book stores have gone out of business up here.
I talked to her substitute and he said she is doing ok but not ready to deal with it yet. I will see what I can do. Thank you again and prayers for you also...

Darlene,

37 years ago, my hubby and I miscarried our first child. Then our next child passed away at 6 months of age. A friend at my church gave
me a little small book to read. The title is "Until I Hold You in Heaven". I found so much comfort in that little read. Maybe you could
check the bookstores and see if they have it or can get it. You might
try the religious bookshops in your area if you have one. I passed
the book on to another family many years ago. How sad and heartbreaking for your friend. She needs to give herself time to grieve her loss. Hug her for me. Please let her know that she has
many many prayers going up for her and her family during their time
of sadness and sorrow.

I am glad she has you to talk to. You are a real sweetie.

Hugs to you also!

Thanks Joey,
It was hard to say anything when she told me. You just can't ask what comes to you mind at the time because it just wasn't the time to ask it. I think she will be back next Tues. I will mention it to her about you.
You take care too Joey.
prayers for you also

Darlene, I am so sorry for Jackie and her family. I had multiple miscarriages and each one hurt SO much. People often just don't know how to talk about it. I know there are support groups. If you or Jackie want to e-mail me I can provide support. Sending prayers and warm hugs to you all. Joey

Darlene, you have a big heart. I'm glad you chatted with the teacher. I will certainly pray for her and the baby she lost. Thanks for sharing her story with us.
