My husband had a great interview today for something that could be her career until he retires. I am really hoping that this works out. If you could keep this in your good thoughts and prayers that he gets choosen and also that we hear soon- that would be amazing!

Great news Alee. Enjoy the last little bit of school. The time will fly by. I know you will miss them but you will start the new year with a new life. Congrats. Joey

Praise God, Alee! My husband starts a new job on Monday as well. I am so happy for you. December will be here before you know it!

Thanks everyone! Nora is excited for her new school and the new situation. I think it will be better for her all around. Smaller school, smaller after school care. It will be hard on all of us to be far apart, but we will just have to make the best of it. Now lets just hope Doug meets his new employer's expectations and that he stays employed there since we are moving to a small town for this job!

Congratulations! I am happy that things are finalized, and that Doug can start getting settled in his new job. Time will fly while you finish up school and before you know it you will all be together again!
Good luck with everything Alee!

Well, it took all this time, but Doug got the job!! He starts Monday with a 3 day training and then he and Nora will be moved to our hometown to live with my parents. I have to stay here to graduate. I will join back up with them in mid december.

Thanks everyone! We are still in a bit of a holding pattern (lots of plans with no action!) until he gets a start date. We are itching for him to be able to go down and get started and close this chapter of his career. I wish we had our investment now- there is a great house for sale that we could buy outright. I just have to hope that something comes along that is right at the right time.

Congratulations! Now begins a new phase of your lives. Believe me, I know change is hard (I moved away from Texas a few months ago) but it sounds like this is going to be a great thing for you and your family. Please keep us posted on how things are moving along.

Alee,

Congrats! I know that you miss you family a lot with all that is going on with your Grandfather. I need to get in touch with you soon. I have a few things that I need to either give you or give back to you.

He decided to accept the lower amount offered. We are waiting to see when his start date would be. We are probably going to live with my folks for a while, but we will be seperated for about 4 months while I finish up my degree and our lease here. It's going to be tough but I think that it will end up making us stronger and it will give us some great opportunities. :)

They aren't sure when they want him due to it being a recent aquisitions. They also offered him about $1200 a year less than the minimum offered salary so he is going to counter-offer on Friday and I hope they at least bump him up to 35k.
