As many of you know, my husband lost his job a month ago. Today, he got a call from a recruiter who is setting up an interview in NYC for him on Tuesday. Please continue to pray. I still have not found a job, either. But, we know God will provide in His time. Thanks to everyone for all your prayers.

Blessings,
Portia

No jobs for either of us. We will continue to see where God leads us. We have been thinking about overseas. We shall see. Please continue your prayers.

Thank you,

The interview went well, but the man seemed to think my husband might not be right for this job since he does not know the "players" in NYC for this position. I guess that is understandable. But, the man was impressed with my husband and said that he would see if maybe he could put him in a different department or another location other than NYC. We think this is encouraging as well as the fact that the recruiter said she would find Don (my hubby)something else if this did not work out. We have completely given it to God. Don still has some consulting jobs coming in, but unfortunately, they do not pay like a regular paycheck.

Lauren, maybe we will be neighbors if we get to the city! Do you belong to a MJF Chapter on Long Island? I belong to the one here in Binghamton and we have so much fun!

Joey, keep on smelling those flowers and enjoy your new job.

I will keep everyone posted. Right now we are busy doing a few things to our house because we plan to rent it when we find jobs.

Thanks again to everyone for their continued prayers.

Hugs,
Portia

Thanks Portia. I start the new job on Thursday. We are in Honolulu, HI and all the flowers here smell so good. Can't wait to hear good news from you. Saying prayers that your hubby's interview went well today. Joey

Portia,
I just saw this post...so I am praying hard for the job interview tomorrow for your DH in NYC. I hope it works out, and remember, whatever is meant to be will be, and it will be for the best in the end.
If it doesnt work out, maybe y'all can come look on Long Island, that way I would have another farmgirl sister here with me! LOL
Good Luck, and please update us when you can!
Hugs,

~Laurie
