Joey,
I am glad papers were at last located. We all know, too well, the stresses of life. In these times, it seems harder than ever some days! Take care of yourself!

Blessings,
Linda

Oh sweet one - we have talked about our stress levels and how this is the worst it has been in so many years that we can not even think when. I have ADHD too and trust me I can look like a crazy person when something is not where it is suppose to be. I also am almost OCD about organization because I know how I get if I can not find something - however I too have to remind myself that most times it shows up and also in a place that it could never have been. I sometimes wonder if it is God's way of testing me if I have learned to trust. Yep, I fail many many times - including this morning when my new computer went blank.... I had to breath, sit, pray and then trust. HARD I know but I think that is the big lesson going on in the world today.

Just know we are all learning, leaning and supporting each other. I send hugs my dear one your way. Big furry animal snugs too...

I will keep you in my prayers to start "de-stressing" and find some peacefulness. Glad that you were able to find the papers.

My dear sisters, I can't begin to tell you how stressful the past year of my life has been. I am a stress eater and after many years at the same weight, I've gained 42 lbs this past year as my Dad was dying. I can't tell you what a blessing this forum has been and what a gift you all are for me. Thank you doesn't even begin to cover it.
We paid a lawyer big money and we thought we had everything settled before my Dad passed, only to find out later that without Dads original will his estate would go to probate and we would probably lose most of what my Dad worked so hard for his whole life and his estate. My brother is in Maine, so the medical and financial issues fell to me..not my strong suit. We have been searching for the will for weeks. I leave on Sunday for 3 months. It was now or never and I have been so anxious and tearful. Although I have been praying over this the whole time, yesterday I got down on my knees and tearfully, humbly came to God again.
Last night we were going through a bunch of papers AGAIN and my DH found a paper from my Dads lawyer from 8 yrs ago, the day Dad did the will that said the lawyer had Dads original will in his safe deposit box at the bank. Over the past 6 months 3 different people have asked the lawyer if he had the will and he said no. Last night I called him again and read the letter he had sent my father in 2004. Today he called me back to say that he had my fathers original will with Dads original signiture IN HIS HANDS. He didn't remember until I called last night. It is on the way to my brother now. By Gods grace and giving God the glory!
Usually I "give" something to God and then my very controlling self takes it back again. This time, since April 2nd, I have tried to just trust God and live in faith.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and good wishes. Please see my post in "Across the fence" to see the story and where we go from here. Joey

Lord, I pray that you give Joey and her brother the calmness and fortitude to continue looking for what they need. May you place their hands on what they need and be a comfort in this time of stress.

Blessings,

Dear Lord, please help Joey find everything she needs. Please be with her, guide her and give her great wisdom in everything she does. Thank you, Lord, for taking care of our dear sister and her loved ones in all of this chaos. It's so hard to lose someone, especially a parent, Lord, but everything people must go through in the aftermath is so unsettling. Please help her, quicken everything to her, and give her peace. Thank you so much, Father. Amen!

Love you, Joey!

Joey-- I am not sure about the will but home purchases are public record in the town where the home is. Try calling the courthouse or city tomorrow in that city and ask them how to get a certified copy of the title. As to the will, I hope you will find it in his paperwork. Good Luck and I hope it all works out for you and your brother.

Joey.....Step outside-Take a DEEP breath-and think of something completely not related to your search-Okay? Now, if you keep yourself in one room at a time begin from the top and work your way to the bottom of the room-Sounds piddly, but it works. Are you sure he had the original will in the house? Not a safety deposit box or at the lawyers?

I just hate it when I can't find something important and it always shows up in the least expected area. You'll find it I'm sure!
