If you have been following, the hospital they were going to have this done at, turned away 900-some transplants due to a mix up the nurses did.

So, here is the update now.

The are looking at another hospital, and the nurse has already spoken to my hubby. He has to lose another 30 pounds, and even then they still call his weight "obese" and even after that, they may not accept him. The numbers are more strict for this hospital, so he may not pass the sugar tests here either.

Please keep him, and his sister in your prayer. She has asked hubby to lose the weight and will take tests after that.

The hospital is telling my husband he cannot donate (even though he presented a letter from his doctor). And then the person at the same hospital is telling his sister she "does not need to test anyone else."

What's happening, is they are trying to find excuses for his sister to not get the kidney transplant. She's now seeking out another hospital to have it done.

It makes me sick that the hospital won't come out and tell his sister they can't or wont do it, vs. leaving her hanging like this. Just wanted to update.

We are still waiting on the hospital. After he gave the doctor's okay to the hospital, they are bickering about who has the correct test - them or the doctor. The hospital is dragging their feet, so we sit and wait.....

The doctor cleared hubby for kidney donation. His tests done by the doctor were much different than the one at the hospital.

Thanks for your prayers.

Dh is up at the hospital taking the last test to see if he can still donate his kidney to his sister.

The last test showed his sugar too high, and they asked him to do one more with his own doctor.

His sister has 3 more people in line to be tested for donation, but dh was the best match.

Please keep him, and his sister in your prayers this morning.

Praying that the donation goes well and the health of both is good enough to go through with the surgery and that the doctor and the hospital all agree on everything that is going to happen. and that God be with you all when it is going on.
Blessings

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
