Us folks down here know the fact that we don't get a whole lot of rain this time of year, but by the grace of God we NEED it. Besides the out of control brush fires in North Florida burning up land, our crops are very thirsty, and diesel at about $ 7,500.00 for 1,500 gallons needed every two weeks to run the wells that irrigate the fields is draining much more than the aquifers, if you know what I mean. Please help us pray for some much needed rain down here. Thank you. |

Brandy- I think the whole country will join you in doing a rain dance. I will pray that we all get the much needed rain. I had no idea how expensive it was to run the irrigation systems on a farm...WOW!

I was just reading about the drought this morning. So sad and scary to read about not only the cost to farmers but also the threat of fires to everyone living in the threatened conditions.As one article stated "The USA hasn't been this dry in almost five years" . I pray that rain comes to all the areas that need it.
