We had a school shooting here in Ohio this morning and I wanted to ask everyone if they can pray for the victims and their families, and for all the students at that school.

It happened at Chardon High School in Geagua County, about 45 min away from us, or so. There were at least four victims according to the initial news reports.

This is a very sad day.

We have been lighting candles for the dear families each night at 5:00pm. I read where one of the families was asking for people to light candles in honor and memory of their children...we have 2 lanterns outside that we light and then pray for these dear families and their community.

so sad, one dead, one brain dead and four others in the hospital and I feel for that young man who felt he had no recourse but violence. he obviously needed some help and he wasn't getting it. I have a 16 yr old son and all this scares me to death at times

Prayers being said for all of the people touched by this tragedy. It is so sad, and as Claudia said- it affects not only the "victims" and their families but so many others as well. Children hurting children, its just wrong. May God wrap HIS arms around that whole community.

Claudia: Well said. I will, indeed, be praying for his grandmother and all.

Sending prayers for all involved.

I saw a clip on the news of parents picking up their children from the school - they were so scared. Grown men crying because they were so afraid for their kids. Hopefully, they will heal from this ordeal. And I agree with Claudia - the young man who did the shooting needs prayers to heal his hurt and anger.

Young children killing children...in places we send them to learn and be protected. I feel as we pray for the victims and their families, may we ask the Lord to reach inside this hurting teen who shot and killed others. He lives with his grandmother. It must be so difficult for her. May we pray for all concerned.
