Thank you everyone for your prayers. I now have a second interview on the 28th for the position for which I interviewd on the 14th. I would appreciate your continued prayers. I will let you know how things went after the 28th. The job would be a great birthday present as my birthday is the next day---Leap Year!!!!

Blessings,

Hi Portia-
I am on Long Island, Suffolk County. Located half way between Manhattan and Montauk. (a little over an hour from each).
I have lived here all my life and probably always will since my DH does not want to leave Long Island. I would be happy living further out East- on the North Fork of the Island, if money would permit. It is extremely expensive to live on Long Island!
Hoping that it works out for you with the job, but as you said- if you are already having a "feeling" about the lady and the $$ isnt there, then perhaps it isnt meant to be.
Where in NY are you? What type of job were you going for?

Thank you, Laurie, for checking on the job situation and for wishing me a happy birthday. The agency will decide by March 9th. Not sure I want to work for the lady, though. Also, I guess they did not look at my salary requirement because the pay is not good! And, you are correct: something better will come. Where in NY is your town?

Blessings,
Portia

Thanks again, ladies. I leave Monday. Maybe I will have news by the end of next week. I will let you know.

Tammy, I am well, thank the good Lord. Thank you for asking. That virus was rough. See you at the MJF meeting on the 17th.

That is great news, Portia! If you made it through to the second interview, that obviously means you stuck out to them. I will pray they see you have the qualifications for the job and that you will be an asset to their company!

Best of luck, Portia. I've been watching your posts and thinking of you, although I haven't commented before. I'm looking for work too (in Rochester) so I really feel for you. Second interview, how exciting!
