01/10/12: TUESDAY. Libby spent several hours in Durango (50 miles away) in appt. with specialist yesterday, more tests. Jeremy was with us all day and was picked up last evening to go back home. Libby's daughters went with her and one of them told me last evening they are waiting on test results but the dr. is thinking perhaps it is asthma. So, we continue to pray for test results to be more conclusive and for her to be able to start some treatment so she can get some relief!! It is wearing her out!!
Thank you for your continued prayers!!
CJ

01/04/12: UPDATE: Libby has had a setback. . . she was doing well, I've talked with her several times. However, she was in the ER again on Sunday night, will be going to specialist and for testing on Friday. Sooooooo, please be praying for HER, her health and the future for Jeremy and for her.
Thanks much!
CJ

Hi farmgirls,

Many of you know that we have a son, Jeremy, who has Down Syndrome and lives in a host home with a 24/7 caregiver. Libby has been his caregiver for 17 years! She has been SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD to and for Jeremy!
She is older and has some newly acquired health issues. Some recent tests and such, but I don't know what the diagnosis is. She had been doing pretty good, but today when I picked Jeremy up she said she didn't feel well. She also said she didn't know what else to do and maybe it was time for her to go to her "home beyond the blue".

Could you please pray for Libby! I'm quite concerned about her.

Thank you so much farmgirls!
CJ

Thanks again for the update CJ! I am happy to hear that they may have figured out what is ailing Libby and as you said hopefully they can diagnose and get her treatment so she is comfortable and able to move on with her daily lifestyle.
Prayers still coming at you for Libby, Jeremy and all!

I know asthma is a terrible thing to have, but is this a better diagnosis than what was originally thought? I pray that they can figure it out so it can start being treated!

CJ just came across your posting, I'm praying for Libby that she can find some peace and comfort, And for Jeremy, it will be hard to have to change caregivers. And CJ will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, alot for a mama to deal with and trying to keep your son happy. Take care Sister, and was so glad to see that Robin was able to be home for a visit. Hugs,Brenda

CJ,
I am so sorry Libby's ill health. I can't imagine the worry you are faced with about eventually losing her and the impact it will have on Jeremy.
You are all in my prayers

It must be a relief that Libby is doing better, at least for now. It sounds like some of her concerns are longer term. I hope that it all works out OK and that Libby, your son, and you are all OK if adjustments need to be made in the future. This is a sad situation. Prayers on the way.

Warmly,
Pam

Emily,
Thank you for your sensitivity . . you are SOOOO right! It will impact him hugely! That is also something I've thought much about and am thinking that we're probably going to start looking at the future more seriously.
Thank you so much!

CJ, I've been thinking of all of you since your original post. I've been thinking especially of Jeremy. Libby has been a big part of his life for so many years. I worry about how this will affect him if she is unable to care for him. Will be saying prayers for all of you that everything will work out.....which I know it will :)

On a happier note....so glad Robin could visit! Always sooooo good to spend time with loved ones...especially when we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. Will be saying prayers that Robin has a safe trip home!!
