Posted - Dec 04 2011 : 5:13:04 PM Anyone who is following the farm situation on our end knows that our closing has been delayed because of certain officials not getting the new plat map done on time. (I am pretty sure NO closing ever happens on time!) We heard from our realtor on Friday who told us that the "officials" now have the papers they needed from the pipeline company and will hopefully be moving everything through and into being recorded so we can get this all signed and done by the end of the week. I'm asking for positive thoughts towards a successful closing that is wrapped up by the end of this week...it's getting awfully close here to winter weather AND Christmas...there are things we need to do in the house before we can move in (like lay flooring, as there isn't any in the house right now) so we're hoping that we can get this all done and be moved in and settled before the holiday. :) Thanks gals for the thoughts!

Posted - Dec 08 2011 : 4:20:48 PM Hi gals, realtor thinks now closing will be early Monday morning, but he wouldn't know for sure until tomorrow (Friday). This is all because we are waiting for paperwork from a pipeline place, and yesterday they sent the paperwork but DID NOT SIGN IT. Can you believe it? So it was this lame track the people down thing and get them to sign it AGAIN, then they waited too long, then they didn't fax it in time for the county to get it for the "business" day...the realtor says he knows the paperwork is signed and at the county today and he will be on them tomorrow to get everything recorded so we can be the first closing Monday morning. I know....I'll believe it when I'm signing the papers!

Posted - Dec 07 2011 : 2:01:19 PM Thanks everyone for the prayers and positive thoughts. :) Still no word on when closing will be, realtor is still praying its this week but he's having a hard time getting ahold of the person who still needs to sign off on the last paper. Realtor is NOT happy about this but is still hoping for a closing by Friday! We will see what happens... :)
