update: her mother is now in a nursing home, and the doctor has mentioned her mother may only have 2 months to live (without the surgery).
Thank you for sending them both cards.
I have never done this for anymore before, but wanted to send some farmgirl hugs, words of love, and hope, to another farmgirl. She is a member of my chapter but does not post here.
If you would like to send her a card, please e-mail me for the information. She is struggling with the medical care of her mother, tough decisions, financial decisions, and is not sleeping well. In short, the doctor has asked to amputate a portion of her mother's leg, infection has spread to the bone etc. Her mother is in the hospital as of today, and may refuse surgery (which the result is soon death).
A prayer shawl would be appreciated as well for her and her mother.

Oh Kristina-
I am so sorry to hear that she is just refusing. I guess no one knows why she is doing what she is doing and ultimately it is her decision. All we can do is keep both Marilyn and Janis in our prayers. I sent them both out cards in hopes it will lift their spirits.

Got your e-mails. Thank you.
I got a text this morning that her Mom is refusing surgery, and the doctor's are sending her to a nursing home. The infection will basically move to organs and the brain if she does not get surgery.
Cards of encouragement are greatly appreciated.
