I got a email from one of the leaders at Bri's American Heritage Girl's troop. A young man of 20 was killed in Afganistan. They were expecting 500+ at the service. They needed desserts. So Bri and I stopped this morning at the church to drop of some desserts. You would not believe the police, service people, motorcycle groups, etc there already. More flags than I have seen in a long time. Two other churches gave their parking lots to use. Just seeing the hearse and the limos teared me up. As a mother, I just couldn't imagine burying my child. Please pray for this family in La Porte, Texas who has lost so much and please remember this fallen soldier that paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

I cried when I read this post, Amy. I'll pray for this family's healing and comfort.

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

My prayers go out to his family, how proud they must have been of him serving his country for all of us and then to get the news, it breaks my heart to hear such things. We should all say thanks for our boys this Thanksgiving and their families.
