Posted - Nov 17 2011 : 05:53:08 AM I woke up with a bit more energy. I don't feel like I need to crawl back in bed, only after being up an hour (like the last several weeks). I still have a horrible time breathing, and feel like an elephant is on my chest at night. Same with little dd. I did get diagnosed with an ear infection also. I still can't hear out of my left ear. So frustrating.
DD17yo is home on the sofa again.
Ds19yo is on antibiotics for a sinus infection.
Thank you for all your prayers. This really did give me a scare. I've never been down like this. My breathing has me worried. I may ask for the chest x-ray if the rapid breathing is slowed by my breathing treatments and medications (which are making me sick to my stomach).
On a good note, my dad e-mailed me and has a bottle of oregano oil for me. I'll be adding drops on my tea bags as soon I get that.
Housework and farm animal chores put me down for the count. Ds can hopefully help where he can, and my 15 and 12 yo dd's are helping load wood to the porch this week. I have to save up enough energy to go get our glass replaced in our wood stove door (it broke). With their hours, dh can't help me with that. Temperatures are down to 26° in our parts.
I am thankful for all your prayers.

Posted - Nov 18 2011 : 04:17:07 AM We don't have a health food store nearby. There may be one in another city I haven't checked yet. I'm assuming I can't get Elderberry juice at the grocery store. I may try a larger grocery store that has a small organic section too. Thanks for that tip. It's week 5 for me, and it's so frustrating.

Posted - Nov 17 2011 : 3:43:49 PM I was sick for over a month with a bad respiratory infection and I found that drinking elderberry juice helped a lot. I'm sure the meds. did, too, even the anti-biotics. But I think the juice helped more than anything. Hope you recover soon. Cindy

Phew! I just wish I had more energy. I am soooo far behind in everything. I know worry is not good either.

Posted - Nov 17 2011 : 06:57:52 AM Prayers for you and your family, Kristina. I sure hope that you can get the glass fixed in the woodstove. Do you think adding a bit of steam might help? You could toss a few spices in a pan of water and set it on low on your stove top. Please take care and stay warm!
