Posted - Sep 24 2011 : 11:11:44 PM Tammy has been running a non profit (and non profitable) waterfowl rescue in Phoenix area for over 10 years. In the last year, her health has made a drastic decline, her grandmother passed, her parents passed, her home was foreclosed on as a result of all of that stress. All this time it's been her rescue and rehab work that has kept her pulled together. Paying out of her own pocket to feed and vet all the sad cases she comes across not only in birds but any other creature in need. Now the person she had left in the world propping her up emotionally, physically and financially passed suddenly from an unexpected heart attack. Not only is she in pain and lonely she has to give up the thing she's been living for, as she can't support a rescue that spends so much money out of pocket to rehome animals for comparatively next to nothing. I'd like anyone willing to join me in praying that Tammy find peace, strength, that all the animals in her care find good homes, and that she finds a new direction and hope in her life.
"The greatness of a nation and it's moral progress can be judged by the way it's animals are treated." ~Gandhi http://silvermoonfarm.blogspot.com/ "After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.” ~Will Rogers |
