Someone has said that if Christians really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Did you know that during WWII there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every day at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England its people and peace?

There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate:
Every evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central) (7:00 PM Mountain) (6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you
are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, and for a return to a Godly nation. If you know anyone else who would like to participate, please pass this along. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Please forward this to your praying friends.

Hello all! Even tho I am new to MJFgirl network, I couldnt resist sharing something I recently found. A prayer by Eisenhower, 1961...and YES, I will join in this effort too, its a GREAT idea:
We pray that peoples of all faiths, all races, all nations, may have their great human needs satisfied, that those now denied opportunity shall come to enjoy it to the full; that all who yearn for freedom may experience its spiritual blessings; that those who have freedom will understand also its heavy responsibilities; that all who are insensitive to the needs of others will learn charity, that the scourges of poverty, disease, and ignorance will be made to disappear from the earth, and that, in the goodness of time, all peoples will come to live together in a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love.
I found it on a website called "restoreliberty.com"
good luck and best wishes everyone

Prayer is a powerful thing, I agree Elaine. I, too, will stop at 8 PM to pray every night.
Great topic Traci.
Thanks for sharing this.

Prayer is a powerful thing. We have to humble ourselves to ASK for help and guidance and then we must listen very carefully. I know what I will be doing at 9pm everynight. Thank you so much for sharing.
