My father lives in a trailer on the same property we do. Each day, I take my 3 yr. old over to say hi to him. Today however, we were getting ready to go for our walk, and I got antsy for some reason. I decided to head over to check on my father, and asked the babysitter to finish getting my daughter ready. In the midst of this, my husband was going to town to run errands.
As I entered the trailer, I mentioned a propane smell, but since everything runs off propane in the trailer, I stupidly didn't think much of it. Just as I sat down, my father went in to a seizure. Never being around one before, I completely panicked and dialed 911. My husband who is a volunteer paramedic, so happened to pull in to the driveway because he forgot his wallet. In the midst of my hysteria, he came running over. My father, had choked on something during the seizure and quit breathing. My husband resuscitated him, and kept him alive until the ambulance came. It was carbon monoxide poisoning, and my father is home safe this evening.
I thank the Lord that the timing came together, the way it did. If I had gone over 5 minutes later, or my husband had not forgotten his wallet, I would have lost my father today. God was certainly watching over us, and I am in awe of the wonderful miracles he bestows upon us. Just wanted to share. Thank you for listening.
Colleen

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
