Posted - Dec 02 2010 : 12:01:40 PM We received a phone call from the High School Principal around 6:00 in the evening stating that a 16-year old GIRL confessed to writing the bomb scare message. The newspaper stated this morning that she is being held in another city (Escanaba, MI) at Juvenile Hall for prosecution.
The kids headed out the door this morning (I wasn't going to let them go, but when we heard the perpetrator had been arrested I knew they would be okay)
We are looking forward to a quiet and peaceful weekend-
What an experience-I came home with the kids after picking them up at a local elementary school yesterday after 3:00 and cried all the way home. It's been a real roller-coaster since Monday-Thank you ladies for all the prayers and good thoughts sent our way. It was so very much appreciated-
After several mis-communications as to where to retrieve my kids I finally ended up a one of the elementary schools to get them a few minutes ago. one word---CHAOS----Complete lack of communication between the police/school admin- I am just shaking. I will let you know more once we have all the information.
Know that we are safe-My kids are home and they are staying home until Monday.
Thank you dear girls for the prayers.

Oh my....My heart is just pounding.
I had Hannah out before noon as she was scheduled to go to the dentists-When we were getting ready to leave she received a text message from a fellow student telling her that the High School was being evacuated to a local elementary school because of a bomb threat and not to come back to school-He knows she takes her lunch at home sometimes-God love him.
So we hopped in the car to go to the school because my son Elliott is a freshman. We found him in the gym and they escorted the parents out of the gym and told them we could pick them up at the local airport at 3:00 The bomb was scheduled to go off at 1:00- You can't get anywhere near the High School---every one is there; the police, fire department, helicopters are everywhere and I was told while at the airport that a bomb squad was driving in from Green Bay which is about an 45-minutes away from here.
Please pray for our little town-
I will update more when I have news.

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!! |
