As some of you may know Samuel Hengel died from self inflicted gunshot wounds at after the stand-off at the Marinette High School in Marinette, Wisconsin just a few miles away from where we live in Menominee, Michigan.

Our little community is devastated and going through the process of grief.

Please pray for this young man's family and for the twin city communities of Marinette and Menominee that we may gain a greater understanding and recognition of depression especially regarding our young kids. And, that our children realize that all is not lost- that this is not the avenue to take- that suicide is not the only way out.

It is such a devastating situation! I have very close ties to Marinette, so my deepest sympathies are sent to the victims family
and both communities. May time ease their pain.

I will pray for the family and community. What a terrible thing for a family to go thru. The only comfort is they are not alone.

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!

That is so sad. I am glad that no one else was hurt though. I worry alot about my own grandkids in situations like this. You just never know what kids are going through. I will be thinking of this family also.

Dear God in Heaven, please help the Hengel family through their grief and give them strength to carry on. Please God, help all those who suffer from depression especially our troubled youth who all too often end their precious lives. May you help them see the beauty that is life. Please help Samuel's parents to not blame themselves, help them understand. Please, Heavenly Father, take your little lost lamb, Samuel, into your flock and keep him in eternal peace. Amen.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
