Posted - Oct 25 2010 : 09:27:45 AM My 90 year old, mother in law is seriously ill, she is blind and deaf and my husband is the only child that lives here near her. When she wakes up my husband and I are taking her to the ER. We know that she will probably not return home, she is in so much pain from many illnesses, please pray that God takes away her pain and that my husbands siblings (all of whom live out of state) will let my husand do whats best for her as her only knows whats best for her right now!
Thanks so much! Sue Feely |

Posted - Nov 06 2010 : 09:17:07 AM Sue, It seems those who are willing to give to others are sometimes overwhelmed by the number of those who need their loving care and attention. I'm praying for strength and comfort for you and your husband in this trying time. Remember to find some time alone for the two of you, there is strength in sharing and maintaining your relationship.
DO check in to find out help that may be available. You might call a County Health Nurse or check with the doctors of your Mom and MIL. Even a few hours break can be a Godsend. A dear friend whose wife is in late stage Alzheimers has someone stop by 4 days a week and it is a tremedous help and comfort.

Posted - Nov 02 2010 : 09:40:33 AM There should be some sort of in home care in your Mom's case and MIL's case I would think. On the other end of that I am asking God to give you his strong right arm to lean on and when we are weak He is strong. May he bless you with the blessings of Moses who's eye did not dim and who was strong until the day he was taken home. God bless you mightily.

Posted - Nov 02 2010 : 07:35:39 AM Update-My mother in law is home, my husand has been living with her for over a week now, of course he has to work during the day. Most afternoons mom Feely calls me to come over, her meds are making her see and say things, it is the meds this has been confirmed, so Sean and I have decided to moe in with her, she only lives 2 miles from us. She cannot live alone anymore, I dont mind this but my own mom is a stroke victim and needs total care, so I am at my brothers home where she lives 3-4 nights a week to give them a hand, also I am disabled fom working. This makes it hard for me. I am hoping this is temporary, Mom Feelys 3 other kids live out of state, and know whats going on but fo whatever reason do not want to pitch in! It is a long pitiful story.
Anyway I would love some prayers for my stamina to do this. I will have limited access to a computer (dial up). Just some thoughts and prayers would be a big help! Thanks loving sisters! Sue Feely |
