I am joining a new church. I am going to be baptizied again. This was done when I was an infant. But this time I am choosing to do it and it will be done in immersion. Not just a ritual in a fancy church service.

Awesome Amy! very exciting...Congratulations. The river baptism sounds very special.
I was baptized as a baby, too and then as an adult to publicly demonstrate my decision for Christ.

Claudia - I never thought of it that way...beautiful.

Blessings, staci FG# 973

I am waiting until we are at retreat so I can do it in the river. It will be so much more meaningful to me.

Thanks for all the well wishing.

Amy I'm rejoicing with you in your Baptism. I too was Baptised as a baby, then at 13, but not until I was an adult did I really understand the meaning to be buried with Christ and to rise and walk in newness of life, when I was immersed. What a Joy!
Blessing,
Ruth

Well Amy, I'm presuming your baptism has already happened. If so...isn't it neat you made the conscious decision to show outwardly what God has done in your heart. If not, I will be celebrating your new life coming. I too had loving parents who had me baptised and officially presented to God. Mary & Joseph did that when they presented Jesus in the temple as a babe. However, He Himself made that proclamation when he went to John the Baptist & was baptized. It was then that the Holy Spirit descended, and the Father said He was well pleased. I am sure the Father is well pleased with you. Many blessings!

How exciting! I was baptized as an infant by some sprinkled water, but went for the whole immersion in the river as an adult, as others have said, as a conscious decision. It's a beautiful & emotional event. Congratulations!

Lifes not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.

Just a small town country girl, farmgirl, loggergirl, trying to live her dreams. :)

P.s. I've been playing around with the spelling of my name ( weird I know) and I've decided that I will stick with Hannah for good. Sorry I got you all confused. Hugs!!

Amy - that is so wonderful! I too was baptized as an infant, but my husband and I were baptized together a few years ago. It was a very special moment for us to express our individual faith, but also a public proclamation of the One who leads our marriage.

Congratulations! I was also baptized as an infant. I think it is better when you can understand and accept what it is all about. So happy for you!

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
