Posted - Sep 14 2010 : 5:20:22 PM My friend was diagnosed with Gestational Trophoblastic Tumor today. We did some research online and found that the chances for overcoming this disease are high. So we are staying very positive!
She is still scared. She has two toddlers. And she lost her grandma to a brain tumor and her mom to a rare cancer that started in her adrenal gland and then moved into her liver and kidneys. Both of these wonderful ladies were taken at an early age.
Please keep her in your prayers. We've been best friends since the 7th grade and I can't imagine life without her.
Hugs~ Melanie
*update 9/16* GOD is Great!!! Thank you so much for praying for my friend ladies! She went today to get the results from her MRI. GOOD NEWS!!!!!! The cancer is confined to her uterus and has not spread like her doctor feared! She will still have a fight, but the chemo he is going to use shouldn't make her terribly sick. He said the worst it should cause would be mouth sores. Please keep her in your prayers! Thank you!!
Hugs~ Melanie

Posted - Sep 16 2010 : 4:40:30 PM Melanie, that's better news than she thought. Tell her when she is taking chemo and if she gets the mouth sores that aloe juice really helps. A friend had to have chemo and she drank the aloe juice and it helped her very much. She will still be in my thoughts and prayers.
