Today is the 9th anniversary of 9/11, and I would first like to pray for the families and victims affected by the terrorist attacks of that day that still haunts us to this day. But, this weekend is also the end of Ramadan, a very important Islam holiday. I would secondly like to pray that they are able to celebrate the end of their holiday in peace, since we live in a country of tolerance and religious freedom.

Everyone, I personally think that though it is a sad weekend, we should also celebrate the good stories. Like the husband that was late to work that day, or the person who got sick and was unable to work, or the person who missed the subway for work. Though there were many lives lost, we should also remember that lives were saved that day as well.

Let us never forget all the men and women who were living their lives going to work then taken out of this world by a terrorist act.

No... Never... Never forget....
May God bless ALL Americans. May we always remember how this horrific event brought us so much closer together as a nation, tearing down the walls that divide, opening helping hands and concerned hearts. That day, there was no race, no religion; no color nor creed - only people; men and women, old and young, all fearful and confused and hurting and desperate, yet brave and determined and hopeful and strong; people wanting the best for each other and wanting to make the best happen for each other. May we always be mindful and proud of the honor and strength of our people, of our government leaders, of our military, of our emergency responders and rescue teams, and of the everyday hero that resides within each of us. May we always know freedom and safety to be who we are as individuals, yet embrace our differences and incorporate the best of what we find in each other to make ourselves an even better nation. May we as a people always strive to live uprightly, with kindness and consideration toward each other in our thoughts, words and deeds. May we always feel in our hearts the deepest, most profound pride in being American, being ever mindful of the past that brought us to today, of the profound effect our decisions and actions have now and for the future, and of the promise of tomorrow‘s bright horizons. It's so hard to believe it's been 9 years-I still remember where I was and what I was doing that morning-I actually saw the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower live.
9/11 documentaries have been on all day and to this day I still find it very hard to watch.
You are right about religious tolerance. We as a nation must remember to be tolerant...but lately I think we have strayed in that respect. It's time to back on the right path once again then we can truly heal.
