Praying for Mike and his children...especially the children. Addictions are demons, he needs professional help.

Lori-
I pray that Mike is able to win his fight over the addiction he faces. I pray that his children will re-gain the father that they so richly deserve.
Thanks for sharing.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..

Please tell Mike he can do it... The best advice I can give is to tell him to go to AA or NA and to find a church near him one that he enjoys going to..He is not alone in his fight and I find the people that use these actually do a lot better. I will keep him in my prayers and his daughters also. They will need you as a friend especially the children who tend to follow in the footsteps of their parents with out continual support.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Thank you for your prayers- my friend is fighting his addiction of prescribed painkillers and his ex wife has a problem with cocaine(20+ yrs). I took his daughters and my youngest school shopping last Friday and we had so much fun. My heart breaks because there is NOT enough attention to these beautiful children and they are suffering so bad. I just want to scoop them up and take them home with me. I know that this is much bigger than me, but I am on my knees praying that he will get some help and become the parent his daughters need so badly.

Mighty Father, I lift up Lori's friend, Mike, to You and ask that You will encounter his life in a powerful way! I pray that He will find strength in you for raising his daughters alone and that he would learn to trust Your ever-providing and good hands. Lord, may Your Spirit flood his heart and bring him to a place where he can admit his weakness and his need for You and I pray he will choose You in that moment and begin following after Your ways. It's in following Your ways that he will find freedom from his ways. Father, I pray that You will protect his daughters from physical and emotional harm while their father is under the influence and that You will give them peace and show them the love of an amazing Father. Be their all, Lord. It's in the name of Your precious Son and our Savior, Jesus, I pray, AMEN!
