Posted - Jul 14 2010 : 6:55:06 PM Hi Sisters, I've been feeling pretty down the last few days. My mom died last August and even though I'm moving forward, I still feel down around the same time every month. I'm very blessed to have a sister girlfriend close that I can be with and my friends back in Texas call and check on me but I some times feel like it's too much of a burden to call them all the time, ya know? Anyway...just wanted some virtual hugs.

Posted - Jul 15 2010 : 7:39:01 PM Aww my sister friends thank you so much. I feel better today. I got to have lunch and take a knitting class with a friend. I know what started my sadness downward spiral. My daughter's senior proofs came in the mail and looking at my baby girl on the cusp of womanhood I wanted to pick up the phone and tell her about the pictures. And I reached for the phone...like I had forgotten for a split second that she was gone. And knowing just how PROUD my mom was of her and telling her how proud her grandmere would be of how beautiful she is inside and out just made me more acutely aware of her not being here. She visited us every summer and every winter break. Amd my son has been asking about her again, poor baby. He forgets she gone too. Anyway...thank you so much. I love you ladies for being here with open hearts.

Posted - Jul 15 2010 : 4:13:44 PM Here's a BIG HUG for you. My mom passed away about three years ago and it's still tough. There's a wonderful song by The Crabb Family that has been a comfort to me. It's called I Sure Miss You. I'll try to send it to you via email. I couldn't listen to it at first without bawling, but now I appreciate the words, especially "The little things that seemed so small are now like gold in a memory vault. I cherish every one I have of you. Now I can see and recognize the part you played to shape my life. I often see you in the things I do"

Posted - Jul 14 2010 : 7:25:29 PM Dionne- Hugs coming your way- I can feel your pain as I lost my dear Grandpa back on January 11th. There are days I still cant believe he isnt still here. I grew up next door to my grandparents and they were truly like parents to me since my parents divorced when I was 10. All that we can do is find peace in the happy memories we have of our loved ones, and know that they are looking down on us from Heaven smiling at us. Hugs! Laurie Farmgirl Sister#1403

Posted - Jul 14 2010 : 7:01:31 PM Hi Dionne. I am so sorry. I would not know what to do without my mom. I can't even think about it. I wish we didn't have to go through this at all. But we do and we have to go on. You must miss her terribly. I am sending lots of hugs your way tonight. And I will be thinking of you and praying that you get through this time a little better. I'm sure she will always be in your heart. Just know that there are people here to talk to and cry with. That's what farmgirl friends are for. Just lean on us.
Hugs, Kris
