Posted - Jun 03 2010 : 06:09:33 AM I just talked to my mom. She has skin cancer and has had to use chemo cream several times in the past year or so. She went to her doc the other day and she has melanoma on a spot on her right wrist. She will have surgery next week and her wrists aren't very thick at all and they are going to go very deep to get it all out. They will have a plastic surgeon there to cover the hole.
Also just found out my cousin Wendy in Calif. who is just 60 had a stroke, or probably a few, and in not even talking now. She is in a rehab center now for the past week and a half and is doing PT 3 hours a day. Her mother had a stroke about 6 years ago and dies a few years later. Also out grandmother had strokes and didn't know anyone for years. And they think my father had a stroke also before he died.
Then my DD Abby went to a new gyno yesterday and she thinks she may have endometriosis. She will go next week for an ultrsound and if it is she will have surgery to correct that. She will be getting married in Oct. and they want to have children soon. They have been together nearly 12 years now.
Then my other DD Heather is starting to have marital problems again. It's been a few months since they have been back together and it usually starts about now. So she needs to go back to her counselor and get this worked out.
And of course my sister with her lung problems. I still have not heard back from her about her pulmonary appt.
Thank you all so much.

Posted - Jun 08 2010 : 3:14:53 PM Thanks again so much for all your prayers. My daughter had her ultra sound today and has an appt. next Tues. So will find out more then. The tech did say that she has alot of cysts on her ovary. I don't know which one but she said one. ANyway, now the wait.
And my mother just goes to her doctor to see what they are going to do about her wrist. So will let ya'll know when she will have surgery.
My sister said she got an appt. for the first week in July for the pulmonary specialist. That's so far away. But all they could do.
My other DD is doing better with her husband. They just have good days and bad days. But theirs are so much worse than the normal married couple because of their issues. But they are good right now.
Thanks again. I just thought I would let ya'll knoa a little more.

Posted - Jun 04 2010 : 9:12:30 PM I just want to say thank you all again for all the prayers going up. They really do help.
I just talked to my cousin Wendy's daughter. She's just 20 and the youngest and has been taking such good care of her mother. She is in college and said she is probaby going to go into nursing because of all of this. But anyway, she said Wendy actually had a small stroke back in March but the doctors didn't know it. She had the confusion and a few other little things that just really baffled her doctors. They thought it was stress and made her take a few weeks off work. She did but ot worse and worse as time went on. She ended up in the hospital. They ran test after test but they all came back normal. They are really not knowing what is going on with her. They did say she will not die from this. That she will eventually get better but not 100% like she was. She is healthy and strong and still quite young. So they think she will pull through this. I do belive in those miracles!
I just wanted to update you all. I was so glad to finally talk to someone directly who knew what was going on. I will keep in contact with her.

Posted - Jun 03 2010 : 10:55:56 AM Great and awesome God, I lift up my Farmgirl Sister, Kris, to you right now and I ask that you hear her heart's prayer for all of these people in her life that she holds so dear. I pray for healing for her mother and safety through the surgery. I pray that these skin cancers will go away for good and that her skin would be protected from the sun and other factors that cause it to produce cancerous cells. I also pray for Wendy, that You would heal her body and reverse any damage done by the stroke quickly and that she would be able to speak to her family and friends sooner than expected. I also pray that You would take the fear of stroke from Kris' mind. That she would not give her attention to the words of the enemy that would want to tell her that this runs in the family and that it's going to get to her and her close family as well. It's just not true. The truth is that "He (Your Son) was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. Thank you, Father, that Jesus' gift on the cross can bring Kris peace and healing every day of her life! I pray that peace would give her strength and faith. I also lift up Abby to you and ask for you to open up her womb and make it fruitful, no matter what the doctors say. I pray for healing from endometriosis and the pain it causes. May she hear a good report from her doctor after the ultrasound. And for Heather, I pray for peace in her marriage and understanding. I pray that she and her husband would go out of their way to show each other love in ways that may not exactly mean love to them. I pray that they would understand each other's love languages and seek to be a blessing to one another in any way that they can and that their love would grow for each other out of selflessness toward each other and that there would be peace in their household, and security and great friendship. And finally, I pray for Kris' sister's lungs to be healed and whole. That she would also hear a good report from her doctor and that her lungs would begin to work correctly and not cause her problems anymore. Father, bless Kris for her compassionate heart and her love for her family. Hear her prayers and the prayers of all of us farmgirl friends and show us the power of unified prayer today! In Jesus' name we pray with faith, Amen!
