well i was just sharing with a farmgirl how well kissie was doing. THEN she had her worse crash ever. she went into a diabetic seizure. they could not get honey or anything down her. she was gagging and throwing it up.she was having big seizures. they finally got the emergency pen and stuck her with it. she came out of it.we almost lost her. it is so scarey. i am crying as i write. it is such a hard thing to have little ones with such a big problem. i thought since there are others that are diabetic on here you all would understand. i tried to be brave for the kids. it was an act. i cannot imagine what it must be like to have to moniter her hour by hour. she is such a sweetie. she just gives you a foot or toe for a test no problem. i wissh she could have the moniter on her. the kids did just qualify for a medical plan by obama for healthy kids. when neils went to refill the emergency pen. which costs 200.00 dollars. they said this one was free. covered by healthy children ins. so that was good. the kids have not slept. they are afraid to leave her alone in the night now. this is going to be a long journey with kissie. i love her sooo very much. if you could add the kids to your prayers that would be a good thing. we need the power to keep on keeping on. sincerely sherrye thanks to all you farmgirls for praying for kissie.

update she is doing great. diabetes is so scarey to me. one minute they are ok then boom.mom and dad are wore out. they watch her like a hawk mama. she is a happy wild little farm girl. since we thought we were moving we had pulled the sand boxes. there were 2. when kisten and bjorn came they were shocked, dumbfounded, cried. now we may stay. now i will have to build better sand boxes.lol
when i think kissies life--my foreclosure there is no contest.the dirt under my feet is just that. nice dirt but dirt. to think we could get a call that says kissie is gone is so hard to comprehend.life is so frail. as so many of the farmgirls know through their life experiances.
we had 4 boys and so naturally wanted a girl for our first grandchild. she was born and named tianna. we had her for 9 weeks before she was gone. it was so very hard on our kids and family. it is a different son. he then had a son born with major physical defects. no rectum and the list and surgeries goes on for him. javin is now 16. doing great enjoying life. it was a long hard road as a baby and child.now he is able to just be a kid.

we have 10 grandkids. its is a lot of fun. many of them are on farms. i am so glad of that. happy days sherrye

Prayers sent. I know how hard this is. My little one is 4 and struggles with tummy issues. They aren't able at this age to always identify whats happening with their bodies. Its also hard to get a little one to sit down and eat something. I am glad the new insurance helps.

Dear Sherry, so glad little Kissie is doing better. that is so scary !!!! diabetes is hard enough in everyone, but at age 3 !!! so glad the insurance will help them, a childs life should not have to depend on Mom and Dad coming up with money. sending prayers and hugs Phyllis

I am so glad Kissie is doing better! What a scary episode!! They must be so frazzled with the worry. *hugs* I hope that with the better health care coverage they won't have so many worries.

thanks so much. my son and DIL are great parents. thankfully they were both there. regular insulin and testing supplies are very expensive. the emergency shot they gave her is just that. only for when we cannot help her with honey by eating it. so this ONE shot is 200.00 bucks. so how do regular folks afford this stuff. they have been struggling to get her covered with ins. until this keeping oregon kids healthy plan through obama came their ins premium for her was 800.00 a month plus co-pays. way over the top money wise. greedy pharmacy co.s such is life these days. thanks girls sherrye

Sherrye, I will be praying for her too. That's so good the medicine was free this time. It is very expensive. But she needs it.
