My girlfriend Tracy's Husband's son was found dead at his Mother's house yesterday afternoon. He was only 24 years old. He has been struggling with drugs and alcohol for the last 6 years. She has two younger sons that grew up with him and are devastated at the loss. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. Siobhan, I too hope that this death will be noticed and maybe one young person can be saved by this tragedy. I pray for my girlfriend's husband, who will be dealing with a lot of guilt. He pretty much gave up on his son. They had put him in rehab a couple years ago to no avail. My girlfriend was always the one to employ tough love, but it just made her feel like a B----. His father just ignored it and his mother enabled him. Hopefully this untimely death will spark a parent to intervene or an addicted young adult to seek help. He was layed to rest yesterday...may he rest in peace.

Oh my...

Father, I pray for Diane's friend's family, that You would somehow bring peace in the midst of this terrible tragedy. I pray that the family will draw together and not fall apart because of it and that they will find their strength in You. May this tragic death not go unnoticed, but may it be a wake-up call to those in his community of the love and care that each person NEEDS every day of their life and that sometimes a hug or word of encouragement can do so much to break a person from the chains they have wrapped around their lives through addictions and hurts. I pray that his family will take every opportunity to love each other through this sadness and find the sunshine again. In Jesus' powerful name I pray, AMEN.

What a waste of a young life. I am so sorry for your friend and her husband. They must be devastated. He is at peace now I am sure of that. No more of the torture he was going through on earth. Prayers are sent.

This seems so bizarre. I just found this thread yesterday and this morning my son called and said his girlfriends stepsister (30) hung herself from a bridge. Prayers to all those who have to deal with the lose of loved ones who feel so desparate that they just can't deal with life.

My best to all,
Mel

Diane most certainly prayers are going out for your friend and family. Such a horrible lose. I pray that they will find some peace and understanding during this time of grief. And also for you as you stand beside them.
