I don't know if God ever answers prayers for material "wants", but just in case He might, this one is half need, half want really.
Thing is, we set aside some of our tax return this year to get a camper for our family. Last year we were still tent camping in the tent that DH and I got when we got married. Well, we weathered a pretty nasty storm on the shores of Lake Michigan in that tent last summer with the whole family and said, "Never again". So, here we are, wanting to do a lot of camping this summer because it's cheap and fun for the family, but we have no camper. DH would probably settle for a pop-up or something, but I have my heart set on a vintage Shasta or similar travel trailer that can be hauled with our minivan. So, I found one on ebay in pristine condition here in MI and I watched as the bids went up and up and up and my heart sank and sank and sank :( I can't afford to play with the big guy collectors and dealers on this one. So, the bidding ended and I forgot about it. Well, today I get an email from ebay saying it has been relisted. My heart skipped a beat and I felt, "Maybe it's providence". Maybe this sweet beauty is meant to be mine after all. I don't know. I would treasure her greatly for sure!
Anyways, so here's my seemingly very selfish prayer request. Please pray that God would give me favor in this auction and that I could get this beautiful camper for my family to cherish many memories in! Thanks for understanding, sisters!

I am so very sure he is listening to your prayers! After all, you want it to keep your family safe while you are all gathered together and camping. Now he is hearing all of us praying for you so that your prayer will be answered. . . and you know what? He will answer your prayer!

thats what we all do its like a dream
of one day buying a house or that cute car

That sounds like it is meant to be, so prayers out for your camper...may the bid be the highest and the camper be yours so your family and you can make many happy memories.

Siobhan, I will pray too. I know God hears all our prayers, no matter what they are for. I love Michigan. I want to come up there again and rent a cabin on the lake. I told my parents that's the state I would move to if we ever did move. I have a very good friend that lives near Lyons. I hope she'll be coming for a visit the end of Aug. She's having bladder surgery in Sept.
Anyway, I will be praying and sending good thoughts up. And I do hope you get it.

Thanks everyone for your prayers! And thank you for the encouragement too! The bidding is set to end in 8 days, so we'll see what happens. I know that if I don't get this one, that we will have one soon. We have to. Camping season is soon upon us :)

God wants to give us the desires of hearts...just like any parent wants to do for their children. Sometimes He says no...because He's got somethings better! Anyway, I'm not sure that it's so much a selfish prayer. Be hopeful, prayerful, and grateful! It's okay to dream!
