Okay, I am feeling a bit sorry for myself and a bit frustrated. I am usually a really healthy person, but this winter is taking a toll on me! Since early February, I have had the flu, pneumonia for three weeks, and now after I thought I was all better for a couple of weeks find myself sick again with a sore throat! I'm usually very active, so having to "rest" is driving me crazy! I'm sick of being sick! Maybe you girls can send a prayer or so my way that I can get back to normal!

I'm praying for you! I learned my power pack from my parents...garlic, Vitamin C, and echinacea...oh and lots of water! I say this all as I am sitting at home fighting a cold! :)

Sorry Nicole, you're feeling so bad. You probably need to rest and plan anything for spring or a vacation whether or not you can afford to go. I used to get sick every Christmas season when my kids were little and then I realized what was happening and I said "Not this year"! I haven't been sick since for many years. I think it was a little letdown because Christmas was over and I didn't get done everything I wanted to do. Take care of yourself.

Thanks, Annika! I am feeling better, yesterday had lots of energy! Spring cleaned, and aired the house out with the warmer weather. I hope this is the last of it!

We have been drinking elderberry syrup. Its helped me, althought little one still got croup. I canned a few jars from dried elderberries and blackberries.

I hope your feeling better. I hate a sore throat. I had a Dr tell me to take a sip of whiskey alcohol that it would kill what was making me sick and he said after they clean the office they spray every thing down with 91 proof of rubbing alcohol and wipe it dry with a clean cloth. I do that now and we haven't been sick in a long time (Knock on wood).

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Thanks, CeeJay, I forgot about Airborne. Used to use it but it got so $$$$. Do you eat fresh garlic or a supplement?

Oh, thank you all so much. Judy, I think the Vitamin C and Echineacha is a good idea. It's a rainy day here, so I will for sure take it easy and try to get over this!

Nicole,

We all have you in our thoughts and prayers. When I am a bit under the weather I take vitamin C and Echinacea for a couple of weeks...really gives the immune system a good boost to help you get to feeling better.

Nicole, your immune system must not be built back up after all you've been through this winter. Take a day or two to rest, you might like it!! Be healthy soon!!

Aw, sweetie! It isn't any fun to be sick. And sure, someone else might have it worse off, but that doesn't mean its any fun to be where you are being sick this whole time!! If I was where you were I would come make you some chicken noodle soup and we could talk and talk and talk...and we could beat whatever is keeping you down! Take care, and hopefully I can send some good health your way....or at least something to make you smile!!

I too "never" get sick and have a hard time sitting but when I do it usually means I really need to take some time to really rest. I hope you are feeling restored and better soon Nicole!!

Thank you. I know there is always someone worse off than me, but I keep having high fevers and feeling just miserable,(the flu had me the sickest I have EVER been) and this last time is just driving me nuts, like "not again!".I hate being cooped up. And you know how it is when you have a family to take care of...like I said, having a bit of a pity party.
