Posted - Mar 11 2010 : 12:08:37 PM Would you please pray for me. We moved to Texas in July. My friends and family are 1300 miles away. Hubby's work is unstable and I am doing work from home a few mornings a month. I am feeling homesick and a bit down.
Thank you |

Sent your package of stitching patterns off yesterday, something small to look forward to. Let me know what you like to work on, and I'll keep digging through my patterns.

Posted - Mar 13 2010 : 7:31:55 PM Prayers are on the way. It's hard to be far from people you love, hard to have a husband with an unstable job. Working from home can help financially but still leaves you feeling isolated. Have you found a church or other place to meet people? Making new friends can be hard at first but can sure help with the loneliness. Susan

Posted - Mar 13 2010 : 06:23:48 AM Hi Amy,
You have my prayers. I have been in your shoes. I moved way up north from Texas. I always try to think of the saying "Bloom where you are planted." Also, what always helps me is the fact that in this day and age, we can call on the phone and the computers. I talk to my family several times a week. But, I know it can be scary in a new place, hang in there.
