This morning my nieces father was taken to the hospital. All details are not known, but they have discovered he's had two strokes since Saturday. Testing has been done and they have ruled out his heart as the cause. Further testing is being done to try to discover what, exactly is going on with him. His speech has been impaired and he has lost a substatial percentage of his eyesight. He is 30 years old.

My neices are 12 and 10 and they are absolutely crushed. Please pray for them, their little hearts are just broken. And please pray the doctors will be able to determine the cause and hopefully help him start to heal.

Thank you all so much for your prayers! I really do appreciate them.

Brian was released from the hospital. They put him on blood thinners and basically said, Good Luck. He is absolutely terrified to be at home alone because he can't see well enough to get around by himself. He has a couple of friends coming over to finish some remodeling projects he had started before this whole ordeal.

Just found out the other day that when they got him to the hospital last week, his cholesterol was over 700! How is that even possible!!?

Thanks so much for praying, ladies. Nothing much has changed but I wanted to let you know what's going on.

Sarah, I've just read this. So sorry to hear about your nieces' father. Your family will be in my prayers.

Sarah,

I just now saw this. I am praying for your neices and their father. Bless their hearts. I am hoping that since their Dad is so young he will have a better chance of recovery. Please keep us posted.

Thank you so much for saying that Amy! I think that's what we're all hoping for with the sight therapy, that he will be able to recover. It's just so awful to not KNOW what's going on with him.

Thank you all again so much for your prayers. They mean the world to my family.

Sarah - your nieces and their father will continue to be in my prayers. What a scary thing, especially not having any answers. I do know that an old friend of mine had a stroke at the age of 30 and has now completely recovered - he is now 37. There was some initial impact to his speech and vision but he has regained everything that he lost so there is always hope.

Thank you all so much for your prayers!! It is wonderful to know that you ladies are praying for healing.

Many tests have been run, but still no diagnosis. It looks like the hospital is going to discharge him which is really tough and depressing because he can barely see (certainly not well enough to drive or work), and they still have no clue what is wrong with him. They are looking for a specialist in St. Louis and beginning sight therapy later this week.

The girls did get to go see him at the hospital which seems to have made them feel a little better.

Your continued prayers would be much appreciated since it doesn't look like any progress has been made toward doing anything to help him. Hopefully a specialist will be able to find the cause, but what kind of specialist? Brain? Heart? Please pray for direction and healing and strength.

Thank you ladies so much for your care and concern. YOu are all wonderful!

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear this. Those poor little girls must be scared to death. How is their Daddy doing any updates? How is their Mom doing?

Sarah, Prayer's are being sent for your niece's, bless their little hearts. And for their father, that the doctors will find what has caused this and that God will lead them to find recovery for him. Also prayer's for you as I know you have to be very concerned about your family at this time.

Blessings, Brenda

It is so hard to say to one yes I will pray. when one wants answers now. There are so many things that happen and no one knows why. Lets hope that it is in Gods will, that he gets well and the girls understand and do the best they can, at this time. To know that family and friends are always needed not only when times are bad. I hope you may be able to have friends and a prayer circle with Mary Jean as well as with your church. Love prayers and blessings always. Lilly
