Posted - Feb 24 2010 : 2:34:08 PM I am getting ready to go to my 2nd daughters house, where she, I and her husband will be taking care of all 6 of the grandchildren until Saturday... My oldest daughter is heading to the hospital at 7:00 tonight where they will do an induction for my newest little grandson. He is 10 days over due! I would just ask that you pray for her and the baby, she has so far(3) had fairly easy labors, but there is 5 years between this one and the last one. I'm asking for prayers for me because of course in my menopausal state I am very emotional today. I am a little nervous at being in a house with 6 little ones for 3 solid days and nights! And, this is the first birth of hers that I won't be present and helping her. I was there with the girls, but this time, we just couldn't get it to work out. It makes me a little blue.... I know she will be fine, I am just praying that her husband does what he needs to do for her. And, for me, I am very sad at having to leave my 2 big babies, my puppers! Silly I know, but I haven't been away from them since I brought them home 2 1/2 years ago. I am excited of course! And, I know you girls and how caring you all are! I will let you know as soon as it is possible about the baby. Thank you girls!

Posted - Feb 27 2010 : 5:47:03 PM Mommy and baby Freddie are home, as are his 3 sisters, and daddy too. All are doing well! I had a busy day driving the girls around from my other daughters house to a very special birthday party for one of their friends, and then home. The baby goes back in Monday for a check, but seems to be fine, his breathing is easier, and my daughters blood counts were great! Thank you everyone for your prayers, they mean so much to me! :) Here is a picture of my newest little grandson:

Posted - Feb 26 2010 : 6:25:37 PM I soooo appreciate everyone's prayers! :) I am home, exhausted but excited! Frederick Karl Smith III was born yesterday morning at 10:17 am. He weighed a whopping 9 lbs. 3 oz. 2 pounds more than his heaviest sister, and a full 1 pound over midwife's estimate! He was 22 inches tall, had blond hair, my chin and mouth, and possibly the 2 most loving, excited sisters ever! He has had a little trouble with breathing, and there is a very small concern about pneumonia, my daughter lost a lot of blood, but as of now both are doing well, and should be home tomorrow. I will post a picture tomorrow, but for now am going to bed!
