Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 07:31:00 AM Just a heads up. If you have emailed me in the last couple of days and I have not gotten back to you, I am sorry... I am getting there. I had a lot of emails this week and have been sick and the combo hasn’t been that great...
It started last Thursday with a headache and sore throat/earaches... So like a good girl I went to the Dr. got a shot of penicillin and by Friday...felt the same... but worked and pushed through it. By Sat, I was feeling better... over did... and by Sunday afternoon, I was down for the count.... Monday got up and went to work, totally dying at the end of the day... Yesterday I lasted until about noon. Today, I have another Dr. Appointment...
Just for the record... I am done. I think I have gotten everything that has come "down the pike" this winter.... H1N1 yep, pneumonia...yep... so I am just saying, "can't my turn be over"...? Oh in the big picture, these little things don't compare to what some of my farmgirl friends are dealing with, for sure, but I was just wondering is anyone else out there having a rough winter? I am starting to feel like Eeyore instead of Tigger...

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 3:09:54 PM Well, I was going to say that a smackerel of honey would solve your Eeyore problem, but sounds like the Doc is on it. Still, honey and lemon in some tea wouldn't hurt, right? Get well soon!!

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 11:04:56 AM Thanks Ladies... I really appreciate the encouraging words, emails and phone messages... Noting like a little farmgirl "suga" to make the medicine go down....
I don't think that it is a good sign when the Doctor rolls his eyes at you....Seems it is possible that my high pain threshold may not always be my best friend. Turns out that I have an upper respitory infection (which I assumed) and round two of Pneumonia (which could explain the back pain).. LOL
So, I guess I don't feel like such a whimp... I do feel stupid as all the signs where there, I just wasnt listening...again!!! I do feel better knowing that I am on the right meds to getting better.. SO off to knock out those emails....
Thanks again girls, your kindness made all the difference.

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 08:58:36 AM Rene' get a couple full spectrum light blubs put them in the lamps you are around the most. They will help too. I have the seasonal light disorder and this helps a bunch. Also a tanning bed is not out of the realm of getting some sun.

Posted - Feb 10 2010 : 07:40:48 AM Prayers for you. I got the crud at Christmas but have been good so far. I make sure once a week I air out my house. At the Gym are you making sure that you wipe down any thing you have to touch before you get on the machine. People who sweat will leave more germs around and they won't even feel sick or do feel sick and just figure a work out will help but every bit of the sweat has the crud in it not just sneezing or coughing
Soon this will all be behind you.
