I just called him to finish our (short) relation ship. I told him I have to choose for ME and not for a relationship in which I didn't feel comfortable etc. Looking after myself first, taking care of me, emotionally etc., have to love (like) myself before I can love somone else. It would not be fair if I kept him hanging around just because I might be lonely at times
He IS a good man, just not for me.

Spend time on the things you feel passionate about and you'll attract like-minded people. Work on building YOU and men will sense that you're fascinating and--to borrow a word from Rene--brilliant.

Maybe you and he can still be friends. Just explain you need to take care of yourself first but maybe you can do lunch once or twice a month.

Marian, I just want to say that I am thinking of you right now. That must have been so hard to do. But you are right. You have to think of yourself now. He seems like such a good guy and he will be understanding.
