And say a few prayers too. My 5 yr old Grandson came home from school today (kindergarten), said he was tired and wanted to take a nap, instead of riding his pony, knew then something was wrong, let him lay down, checked on him a little later, he has a temp of 101. He wanted nothing to do with dinner, so I decieded to run him to Urgent Care, he has the flu, we just don't know what kind til the blood work comes back, which may take as long as Monday. Childrens tylenol and fluids, all he wants to do is sleep right now which is complete opposite of him any other time. I called the school and of course they want to know as soon as possible, cause they will close down, if it turns out to be the swine flu.

Well that is great news..well sorta. Great it's not swine flu, but not so great because he still feels bad. Well you can handle it now, knowing it's just the regular yuck they pass around at school and not something worse. Warm up the cartoon channel, sounds like the two of you will be getting lots of that in this week. Keeping my fingers crossed he'll be feeling better to go trick-or-treating Saturday night and then tummy ache Sunday from all the candy hugh? To be a kid again....

Warm Wishes
Jennifer

The Clinic called, Its NOT swine flu, thank you, thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. My G/son is still feeling pretty puny, but his fever is down to 100, and hes been able to hold down some broth and fruit juice. I will be keeping him in and a good eye on him for the rest of the week, Dr said keep him home til Monday next.

My little one is no better today, still running a fever (102.2)with runs and pukeing. All he wants to do right now is sleep, I have gotten him to sip and keep down for a limited time, some chicken broth, of course a little water and ahomemade popcycle. He has an appointment back with the Dr on Monday at 2pm, so please continue with your kind thoughts and prayers.

Sure hope he feels better soon. Being a teacher I hurt when the wee ones hurt. Praying for him to be himself soon.

He woke up at his usual time this morn, still has a 101 fever, and still doesn't want to eat. He had a few bouts of the runs last night/this morn, and some pukeys. He says hes really tired, so we will be house bound today, and I will find things to do quietly here so I can keep a close eye on him.
