My hubby has been on a very long journey for the last year. He was bitten by a tick last April and got Rocky mountain spotted tick fever. He has never fully recovered infact it has been getting worse. No Dr. can seem to find out what is really wrong. Well in the last week he has really gone down hill. His speach started slurring and he is not very coherant. He went to the emergency room this morning and has been there all day. They took him by ambulance to the University of Kentucky Medical Center to run a bunch of test tomarrow. I just came home to feed the animals and regroup and sleep a little. Please say a prayer for him it would mean alot to me. Thank you
Laura

Your husband is still in my prayers. I'm glad he's home now and feeling better.

Laura, many prayers for you and the hubby! I have heard the doctors at UK are really first rate--they'll get to the bottom of it and get him back on his feet in no time--you'll both be in my prayers till then! Chronic illness takes its toll on everybody in the family--take care of yourself too!

Be the person your dog thinks you are.

Laura, we still are all praying for your husband and you....I pray that the doctors will be able to find out exactly what is wrong, and heal your husband totally.

What's the word, Laura? Do the docs have any ideas, yet?

Well today is the day we get some answers. They did a zillion tests and I got word from a little birdy on the staff that they think they know what it is just waiting for results from spinal tap. It took them three different dr.s to get the spinal done none could find the fluid. It was very very hard on him cuz they couldn't put him out to get it. Very painful. But whatever it takes to put a name to this problem. He is in good spirits and feeling better. One day at a time. Thanks to everyone for the prayers I know I could not get through all this myself with out the strengh and peace from God that you have all prayed for me to have so from the bottom of my heart Thank you.

Oh, good. I'm glad you got this started on here, Laura. I was just going to do this after hanging up from talking to you! Like I told you, you guys are in my prayers and, of course, you have the whole farmgirl network all over the world doing the same!

I know it's not much of a birthday for you today, but maybe you'll get good news today to make it a good one. Give Ed a hug and let him know that he has all of us pulling for him to get better fast! Love ya, sis!

Thank you everyone. I am on my way back up there soon I just came home to shower and feed animals. I talked with the Dr. who I think is very good. Still nothing but he said they wouldn't stop until everything is ruled out. So that made me feel better. They are trying to get a spinal tap done but after two attempts to pull fluid out of his spine with no luck they desided to do it by surgery today. He does sound better and his speach has cleared up for the most part he is just having a little trouble putting all the pieces of the last two days together. I feel like I am walking around in a bad dream and can't wake up.
Thank you again all for thinking of us.

Oh gosh, Laura. I'm so sorry to learn this. UK Medical center is a wonderful place and they'll get to the bottom of it. Here's hoping he's home with you, safe and sound by the weekend. Thinking of your family!!!

Laura, I'm so sorry to hear this. You and your husband will be in my prayers. I hope that they find the cause for this and that he's feeling better soon. I got bit by a tick in 2005 and had to be hospitalized for a few days in Lexington.
