I wanted to ask for your prayers for one of our dear young sisters, homesteader belle, who lost her mother yesterday after a long battle with cancer. I don't think she has ever talked about it here or on her blog, but her mom was a dear sweet soul, who taught her daughters all they would need to know to be successful women.
If you know belle, and would like to send her a card, just let me know and I will e-mail you her address.
Peace to you all.

I'm so sorry Belle that your mother has passed on. It's so hard to lose one of the most important people in your life. Thank God for giving us memory that we may recall with utmost clarity all the wonderful things our loved ones gave us of themselves. It sounds like you were blessed by a truly wonderful mother and that she touched so many lives with her kindness. Hugggzzz and prayers for you and your whole family as you deal with the sadness of her loss. God Bless you all!

Belle what an amazing woman your Mom was. You were so lucky to have had her for you Mom. I know you are and will continue to be a kind sweet person just like she was. May the beautiful memories you have of her be a comfort to you and bring you prace and joy. Everything she taught you will always be right with you in your heart. Many Blessings.

Thank you Georgiann, for the prayer request.

Thanks to all of you who sent cards.

Like Georgiann mentioned, Mom fought a long battle with cancer. She had Ovarian cancer and she fought it as long as she could. She was first diagnosed 5 or 6 years ago. She fought the cancer for as long as she could without a single complaint. She never let the cancer get her down or cause her any sadness or sorrow. Mom's attitude was incredible!
For many people, when they find out they have cancer, they become depressed or are upset, not Mom. Each time the doctor would tell her she had cancer again, she would say,"Okay. Let's get rid of it."
Mom was a fighter! I heard her asking my Dad on her very last day,"What are the doctors going to do about the cancer?"
The answer was,"Nothing".

Mom was an inspiration to so many besides myself. She was always full of love and kindness. She never thought of herself, even when she was as ill as she was. She only thought of others and what she could do for them. She was very selfless.

Somebody told me that everything comes back to you. The bad things you do come back to you, and the good things you do come back to you. I guess maybe I am talking about Karma.
In Mom's case, she showed love, kindness, and caring, so she received love, kindness, and caring.

So many people loved my Mom because she loved them.

My Mom is my inspiration. I hope I can be as good a person as she was.

Mom will be missed by so many people. Mom was a special person. She could meet a person once and they would fall in love with her.

One person told me after Mom died that Mom was an Angel on Earth.....I beleive it too.

I know Mom is now in Heaven and is an angel with no more pains and no more cancer.

Mom's spirit is and always will be with me.

I will do the best that I can, while I am here on Earth, to be a good Christian so Mom and I will meet again someday in Heaven.

Thank you for all the love and prayers!
Belle
