I just know how much more of this here life I can take.
I got a letter in the mail today from my Dr saying that the test results from when I was in the hospital on the 22nd have come in abnormal. They wouldn't discuss it over the phone, but made me an appointment for tomorrow to "discuss" it then.
I can't imagine what the problem could be. The physician on ER call that day said my ultrasounds were great, and the urine test showed nothing abnormal. She gave me a RX for something for a UTI, but that it was really small one and wasnt that big of a worry. The only test that left was the "girly" exam the DR did. I would think that if it was really important that I would have heard back before a week and a half later. I am probably getting worked up over nothing.
I feel like I am standing in front of a firing squad just waiting for the next shot to be fired.

Please pray my nerves would be calm and that I wouldn't be thinking the worst.

I'm glad things turned out okay for you. Prayer works and doctors (and nurses) can be so dramatic sometimes, I agree. Try increasing your water intake, and cranberry juice is good for you too, while you're expecting. UTIs are VERY common during pregnacy. The best way to avoid is to drink LOTS of water.

Jessie, thinking of you. How are you doing ?
Take time to rest and relax, stress is not good at all, I know it is easier said than done, but just try please.
Hope the weather is with you and that you have some time outside, that is the best remedy for almost anything.
A big hug to you,
Corinne

Jessie,
So glad for your good results. You will be able to beat this infection with the med and being faithful to drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. So glad it was nothing worse.

Drink lots of water too. You need to keep things diluted and flushed out. I am glad to hear it is not a more serious problem. My daughter has lots of problems with UTI's and you have to stay on top of it or it can go into the kidneys. Cranberry juice is the best solution if you can stomach it.

I am so glad that it's Dr. Drama and not something more serious for you. UTI's are painful, so I'm not discounting it. Drink lots of cranberry JUICE (not the "fake" stuff). That helped when I had a bad UTI.

Yes, along with the RX also drink cranberry juice (not cocktail, but 100% juice. If it's too tart get an apple/cranberry 100% juice blend). Also yogurt, such as one or two cups a day will help battle the UTI as well as help curb some of the side effects of the RX. Hope you feel better soon!

Well thats great news!!! Drink lots of natural cranberry. It tastes terrible but it really will help!! Glad it was nothing terrible.

Well, I went to my appointment to day after a lot of unnecessary rigamaroll! Anyways, I get in there and the "abnormal" results were nothing more than them telling me that I had a bad UTI. So instead of the small one that the DR at the ER told me that I had, I have a severe one. She gave me different antibitotics, and told me not to go to the ER that I was using because they are known for their incompetency.
So, I have to go pick up an RX that the dr said wasnt really adequate enough to beat the UTI but it was the best she could do since I am still in my first trimester.
If you would please keep praying for me. I have to try and beat this UTI naturally and with a less than adequate RX.

I am beginning to see that "abnormal" test results really means DR drama.
Thank you for your prayers!!
hugs

Oh Jessie - I'm sorry things are piling up on you. The best advice I can give you is breath, then take one thing at a time. Know we are all behind you.

Doctors can be totally devoid of bedside manner and tact. My bff had a scary call from her doc a few years ago. He left her a voice mail on a Friday and she couldn't reach him until Monday. The problem turned out to be with his equipment, which put a shadow where none existed. Waiting and not knowing can be scary. Take deep breaths and try to change your focus to other thoughts. We are all sending you prayers and good energy.

Oh no, Jessie! It's one thing after another, isn't it?! All I can guess, and hope I am right, is if you got the pap smear sometimes pregnancy can make an odd cell show up here or there and they want to do further tests or a biopsy just to make sure. I will be praying and please update us when you hear more.
Hugs,
Elizabeth

How scary, My dr. did that to me and all it was was the fact I needed more calicum. Why she couldn't of told me that over the phone I'll never know. I have no problem eating more ice cream.
I will say a prayer that everything will be O.K. Keep us posted

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Now.. don't get too worked up because stress is not good for this sort of thing... I am sure like the other girls have said.. that it's just precaution..I am sure everything will be fine..but we're all praying just the same..... *HUGS* Just take some breaths and try to give yourself a little pampering too ..nothing wrong with that, you need it.

Jessie, I'm praying for you, too! I believe Alee's right. More often than not, our imaginations get the best of us and after the fact, we realize we worried needlessly. Spend the time between now and your appointment contemplating all of the blessings in your life. Dwell on and speak only good things. Do those little things that make you happy. Maybe this will ease your anxiety!

Hugs to you!

Oh Jessie! I hope that it is just a case of over precaution on the Doctor's part. I know some doctor's offices won't discuss test results over the phone because all the phones are in public areas. Hopefully that is the case. *hugs*

Jessie, I'm so sorry you are in this position. We'll just pray that it's no big deal and that all is going to be fine. I had a similar situation arise several years ago, and I understand your apprehension. Hugs to you and I'm thinking of you.
