Girls, I don't know what I've done, but the karma wheel seems to be turning on me! The months of May and June, well, I'd just like to wipe them off the calendar entirely....

The month of May was filled with car issues to the tune of $700 or so which we didn't have, but had to borrow from Peter to pay Paul to come up with...then comes June. Our water line is somehow crushed, so we are unable to utilize the "waste" water line, if only marginally. So, if you flush the toilet, you can't do the dishes. If you do the dishes, you can't flush the toilet or take a shower...and absolutely no laundry, so with a 4 month old, 4 dogs and 3 cats that's rather difficult. Then, this week, one of our kitties dies, and they come to fix the plumbing for $1700 (most of which I had to break down and borrow from my mother)...The day they fixed the plumbing, we had this crazy thunderstorm and when I made it home from work (with the baby in tow, crying hysterically because we were stuck in traffic for 2 hours--standing water on the expressway--and she was starving), I find 6 inches of dirty storm water standing in our basement, along with many of our belongings floating around, ruined. On top of that, our oldest cat, the most feeble, was trapped down in the basement with the rising water, and couldn't get out, so he was severely dehydrated and I had to take him to the animal ER at midnight....I called my husband to come home from work because honestly, I felt like I was going to lose my mind.

I still do. After paying the housepayment, we have $30.00 to go on. We can do it, but it's going to involve being incredibly creative. We all have food, so I'm not worried about that, but honestly, can't a girl get a break?

If you gals would send some good vibes our way, I'd appreciate it. Things are hard everywhere, and I keep reminding myself of that, and what is it that they say? When it rains it pours? That's the truth!

Jonni--
you and your little family are in my earnest prayers! This hits so close to home so I have a good idea what you are going through. It's going to get better for us all. It is hope that we believe in that gets us through until God moves in ways that only He can.
hugs

You're so right, girls--thanks so much for the good vibes and encouragement. We'll make it...we've been challenged before, that's for sure. I just got back from the bank, to deposit my measley little bit of extra and my favorite teller told me that her husband just lost his job on Friday, and she had to pay out $1000 on her car, and they had to cancel their little annual trip to the Smokey's and lost their $250.00 deposit and she said, like me, she was ready on Saturday to commit herself. I told her we could be cell mates if she was still going

It helps to commiserate and know you're not the only one. Things can always be worse, and I just have to keep remembering that!

You can do it! Does your office have Friday off for the holiday? That makes the week only 4 days, right?

Here's sending you some positive energy. We have all been there a time or two. I know that doesn't make it any easier to bear but things tend to go in cycles for whatever reason. You will make it through even tho you may wonder how. Everytime we meet one of these challenging times in our lives and survive them, they just make us stronger and help us to know we really can get through just about anything.

Blessings, Sheri

Jonni,
Lot's of good vibes coming your way from me! I know your farm girl instincts will help you out in this situation, but that still doesn't make it any fun. Hugs and positive energy to you.

Oh Jonni,

I am SO SORRY! You have been on my heart alot lately. I am praying for things to look up for you (and they will!). Hang in there, things will get better. I'm also praying for God's provisions for you and your family and the peace and comfort that only He can bring.

Jonni~
I will send some "good Karma" your way! I always say, one good thing about hittin' bottom is it is all "UP" from here :) Wishing you the best. Seems we have all been there at one time or another (or 20 LOL), seems to go down better when you know that others are sending good thoughts!
