Hello everyone. Frannie sent an email to a few of us gals, and I wanted to post an update for everybody who loves her and is thinking of her during this trying time. She has finished the chemo and is understandably not feeling very well; another operation is set for July 6th to obtain biopsies on some new lumps that have been discovered. Her doctor assures her it is not a reoccurrence of the cancer, but her chemo doctor wants to see the results of the biopsies. Her dh, country, after being diagnosed with lung cancer, has undergone an operation to remove a lobe of his lung, last week. Frannie is unable to be with him due to risk of infection. She will be in Dallas for awhile, before and after her surgery, so may not be able to get online and see emails, etc. She is one strong and brave farm girl, and I know she appreciates the loving prayers being sent upward on her behalf. Anyway, hold her close in your hearts and prayers. Our forum friendships are a source of strength and a mighty force indeed. Hugs to all, Nance

i will start my radiation in the next couple of weeks, and in the meantime country and i have taken a car trip to austin, and the galveston area. my son lives in austin and it is my birthplace and well, if ya know austin you know the whole area is very pretty, and i was raised in galveston county so we will visit my niece and see the island. it is nice to just get away for a few days.
keep praying we can surely use it.

Frannie,

You and your husband are in my prayers. I hope you are feeling better now. I don't like those drains either and was glad when they finally took mine out after my surgery.

Hey there gal pal! So good to hear the happy updates. Your little grandkids will keep you and country hopping around (like bunnies.....)??! Glad you are having a fun break in between the serious stuff of life. You'll hit the crafting road running, sooner than you think, I bet. Love to you, Nance

hey sunshine, you are so sweet. i am just starting to have some hair, but ya have to be really close to me to see it. hehehehe. i will let you know about the tam, it is very tempting to get a handcrafted item from you, but seriously i just mostly walk around baldheaded. if it bothers people they just dont let me know, and this time of the year, i have more trouble with staying cool then warm, if i dont have any hair by cool weather i may be checkin in with ya!
thanks again for being such a sweet heart.

......plus, i cannot wait till i really start crafting again. i have had so many visions of crafts dancin in my head that i can hardly stand it!
1. a craft to do with all those velvet jewelry boxes that we throw out, or dont throw out but dont really do anything with.
2. some new baby dolls that come with their own little "purse",aka sleepin bags.
and on and on and on.
i hope to have the time to start postin on my etsy site, which i have now but havent felt ready to post products, cause i havent been home enough to tend it.
anyway, "hey its good to be back home again"

well, thanks for all the post and keepin in touch. i am starting to feel more normal, or as normal as one can feel minus breast and hair. thank god my soul apparently resides somewhere else!
i was home about a week when i got a "help" call from my daughter and i went and stayed with her for about 3 days, and the upshot was i got to bring olivia and deven back here with us. soooooo, know papa, omie and olivia and deven are all here at the farm for a vacation before school starts.
now that really makes me feel all better.
i have a couple of weeks off before radiation starts and then i will really be on the road to recovery.
hope i can start by checking in here more often and see what is going on with everyone else.

Bonjour, gal pal! Glad to hear you have been wandering around your home, working your magic touch here and there. And that is wonderful news that this final step will put the operation in the rear view mirror for good! Give country our love; I bet his mom is enjoying spoiling him rotten. Love and hugs, Nance

just checking in to let yall know tomorrow i will travel back to dallas to get my "drains" out. i have had them in since july 7. they are really not painful, just a nuisance and i dont honesly feel like the surgery is over until they remove them.
i have been here at the farm by myself, dh went to dallas to stay at his moms. it is very quiet here but i am getting a lot of rest and a lot done.
love to all.

hahahaha, way funny, nance, although after being gone for so long and the 100 degree days we have had, we havent had much left in our "beds"
outside. i know my fig tree survived and the rosemary, but i am pretty sure my lambs ear is gone.
oh, well, there is still no place like home.
farm, sweet farm.

well, it has been about 10 days since i have been able to respond here.
since checking in with all of yall, i went from my friends house to my daughters house and had a good visit with olivia and deven.
then i got to come home, even though my drains have yet to be removed from my last surgery!!!!!!!!
i am recouping at home and so happy to be here.
it was great to be reunited with country, my dh.
when i got out of the car, clooney and tango could not believe their eyes. clooney literally did a double take. he was having a scoobydo moment.
anyway just wanted to let everyone know i am back home after a 3 week stay in dallas, and surgery and biopsies and even though i had great hospitality at my friends and daughters house. there is no place like the farm.
love to all
