----UPDATE-----
The Executive Director phoned me this evening about 8:30 and asked if I would be interested in the Dining Room Manager position and I said YES! Out of 150 applicants interviewed she knew she wanted me in that position....I start on Monday at 10:00 for the job outline, etc. and then next week I will be going with the Executive Director, Assistant Executive Director, and the Events Director about 4 hours away from here to the "Bluffs" a sister retirement community for two days to shadow their Dining Room Manager and see how they want our retirement community to reflect.

I have NEVER done anything like this before and really didn't want to travel with a group of executives and actually spend the night in a hotel for two days...NEVER done that before. I am a little nervous but very excited! I have been sitting at home worrying and fretting and worrying...for exactly 1-year ago tomorrow when I was downsized and now tomorrow I will have to go out and get myself some new
GIRL CLOTHES!

I have ALWAYS been a firm believer in the power of prayer...
I just want to thank you dear sisters for all of the prayers and well wishes.

Love,

Melody

I just read this today. I know you will be great at your new job. And hanging out with people with fancy titles you hopefully will find that at first its scary but they are generally very nice and fun. Good luck and enjoy yourself.

Hope all your days are Sunnydays.

Melody, here's to ya, girl. Take your own pillow to the hotel if you can. That always makes it feel a teensy bit more like home for me.

Melody,
What great news. You will shine in that postion, I just know it.
Don't worry about the hotel thing. Just take some books and needlework for your alone time and take a bath; a long leisurely one, with no interruptions.
Hugs,
Michele

How fun! Take the dining room position. It's better than worrying about money and it could be the PATH you're supposed to take placed right in front of you...

Farmgirls...are AWESOME!! Thank you so much for all of your words of encouragement. Makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time!

The interview went very well and they will let me know early next week.

Although one of the interviewers said I would be "purrrrfect" for the dining room manager....something I have never done before and the hours oh the hours....She had mentioned this at my very first interview and then again at the second one. I looked at her and said "Your not going to let that go are you?" and she said "Nope!" What to do gals? She even sent me home with a four page synopsis of the job description...
