I called my GI doctor's office today to get a pre-authorization for the new meds he prescribed and the lady said they would take care of things and he (the doctor) will go over things in your appointment tomorrow at 11:00. I told her I didn't have one until March 17th to go over everything and she said "they must have not reached you yet, he wants to see you tomorrow. The results are in." Now last time they just sent me a letter, so I'm not taking this as a good sign. I'll just have to see what happens. I just wanted to update you all. Thanks again for the prayers, positive energy, and good thoughts.

Hugs!

Tomorrow I'm having another endoscopy. I'm a bit nervous about the procedure and it's potential outcome. I should read my signature below on here and not worry, but for some reason this is kind of bothering me today. This is a follow up from the one I had in November when they found I have Barrett's Esophagus with high grade dysplasia. I've been taking the medication they prescribed and have modified my lifestyle so hopefully the biopsies will be better this time.

Also my best friend who had the mastectomy in December had some complications and is having another surgery (cutting the muscle in that side of her chest) at the same time as my procedure. Please pray for her recovery as well if you wouldn't mind.

And I'll be praying for Linda (a rose) as she has her scan tomorrow. Seems a lot of things going on tomorrow.

Thank you all so much for the encouragement you have given me in the past year. You all mean so much to me.

(((Hugs)))

Corrine, yes I have been limiting those foods and drinks but may have to quit some things altogether. They gave me a chart of things that I should limit or stay away from at my first visit there. Also instead of eating larger meals, I try to eat smaller ones several times a day. I've also had to start sleeping with my upper torso elevated and that has actually helped my back a bit too. Thanks Dana and Corrine for the thoughts and prayers!

Lainey, thinking of you.
Have you tried to reduce most of the acidity you get from your eating habits ? it helps the oesophagus recover.

Thank you for all the prayers and thoughts. I truly am fortunate to have you sisters! I was really nervous, but I'm glad that part of it is over. After I 'came to' after they did took the biopsies I was in quite a bit of pain. They made me stay for a while afterwards and monitored me. They came to the conclusion it must discomfort from all the biopsies. From what they observed there's not much change... there was less inflamation, but the corrosive esophagus was worse, and there was a new 'spot' that they took a sample of. They said they would mail the results in about a week and I have an appointment next month with the GI Doctor to map out a plan of action regarding the Barrett's. He put me on a bit stronger medicine to see if it helps. I'll just see how it goes.

My friend's surgery went pretty well, but she was in quite a bit of pain yesterday. They wanted her to stay but she felt she would be better off at home. Thanks again so much for all the prayers!

Hugs!
