I'm posting this here tonight because we need massive Prayers, I can't find where to post it right now, can barely see straight, Sorry.

My sister Jennifer just found out that her four month old baby girl Emily (my sweet lil niece) has a condition called Craniosynostosis, where the bones that makeup her skull have fused prematurely. This usually happens around the time you quit growing. Since Emily is still growing, her brain has nowhere to go and is literally squeezing itself as it tries to grow. Therefore she is going to have to undergo some pretty major surgery to completely reconstruct her skull. There are very few surgeons nationwide that perform this operation, so they are going to need your prayers to help find a good one, and for a successful completion of the procedure. And they will also obviously need your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Monday the Doctor's start the search for the best Pediatric Neurosurgen in the country, in addition her white blood count is very high and they have to find out why. Tomorrow Jennifer goes back into the Hospital to have Emily's blood checked again.

Lil Emily has a very long hard road ahead of her, Please pray for my lil Niece!

They just moved to FL 2 moths ago and I really want to give them a huge hug right now!

Hugs and prayers for Emily and her family. I have a friend whose granddaughter had the same surgery done. She is 3 and doing well. Praying the same for Emily.

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

Heather, so sorry Emily and all of you have to go through this but God can do amazing things. Will be praying for a wonderful surgeon to be found and that everything goes as best as it possibly can.

Three years ago I was doing a musical with the kids at church when cancer near the brain stem was discovered in one of the third-graders. Today he is cancer-free and is at the point where he needs check-ups only once a year. God's ways are not our ways and sometimes things happen that we don't understand because we can't see the whole picture. At times he allows situations like this to happen to show His power. Those used to be words to me - a concept I understood in theory but struggled with at heart. Now when I look at Christian, three years later and a foot taller, I see God's power at work. Praying that you will see the same with Emily.

God bless -

Heather...My prayers and thought are with Emily. May God hold her to His Heart in this time of questions and doubts, and may He give her parents and family the strength and the Faith to climb the mountain before them. I know it isn't easy. I'm climbing mountains myself.
Peace Be With You

Heather,
I'll certainly keep you and your family in prayer. I also want to pass along some important info. If the doctors are looking for a top-rated pediatric neurosurgen, then look no further than Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, Maryland-(and yes, there is a good reason for my prejudice). Dr. Ben Carson is the head of pediatric neurosurgery and is so remarkable, as a man and as a doctor. Our youngest son needed a special spinal surgery three years ago and Dr. Carson's team performed the surgery. Dr. Jallo was the surgeon but Dr. Carson reviewed the treatment and surgical plan. I don't know if you heard or recall, but last year Dr. Carson removed 1/2 a little girl's brain-(she lives in Texas). She had a rare disorder, it was a very tricky operation, to say the least, and the opeation was absolutely necessary to save her life. Now, she's recovering very well and is healthy. Hopkins is world known (as is Dr. Carson) and the Doctors and staff there have access to everything under the sun when it comes to medicine and medical information. They also have places within a block of the hospital where families can stay (for very inexpensive), weekly parking passes for reduced rates, and sometimes, the insurance will cover these costs due to extenuating circumstances. Also, depending on the nature of the operation-it is a teaching hospital, financial arrangements can be made with the family to offset medical costs.
I know this is a lot of information but, I hope it helps.

Praying for little Miss Emily and the family. Heather, would you mind if I post this on another site in their prayer request section? A group from there will be fasting this coming Wednesday.

Please do pass this on, we would like as many prayers as possible.

Emily had a bad night last night, her temp. rose to 102 degrees and they had to take her back to the ER. The Dr will take more blood today and I'll update as I can, Thanks so Much!!
