Asking for good thoughts and prayers upward for my husband's aunt--she has been diagnosed with cancer on her pancreas, a spot on her breast and her liver. She is feeling rather ill, right now, and they are attempting to get her into John Hopkins for care. She has two of the most amazing daughters, both adopted, one in college, the other graduating this year, and both girls just adore their mother.

My dh's grandparents are also very ill, and they are taking this diagnosis of their oldest daughter (50ish) rather hard. I'm concerned about their health as well...

So, good thoughts, please. It's so troubling, and we all feel rather helpless here.

Thanks girls...it's been a tough weekend, I understand. She's feeling really poorly, and the staff here at Mercy have been in constant contact with John Hopkins--it appears that there is some sort of a trial that she can participate in, but she can't have any treatment prior to participating in the study....but she really needs to begin treatment asap....

Apparently this trial would be VERY beneficial to her with her type of cancer(s).

Keeping fingers crossed, and thank you so much for your good thoughts.

I am so sorry. For sure she will get excellent care at Hopkins. We live about 2 hours from there. It's a wonderful hospital. Your husbands family will be in my prayers.
