On Wednesday a fire took the lives of four children in Greeley, Iowa, near where I live and near where Elizabeth (babysmama) lives. The parents and their oldest child, plus another woman and her four children survived. You can read more about the story here:

http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/37676059.html

Please include these two families in your prayers- they have a long road of healing ahead of them. If anyone is interested in donating items to the families, here is the address:

Hansen and Long families
c/o Greeley United Methodist Church
PO Box 48
Greeley, Iowa 52050

They have lost everything, so I'm sure any donation would be welcome. I figured with all of us caring farmgirls, some homemade comfort items would be appreciated as well.

Life should NOT be a jounrey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, latte in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, what a ride!"

Sorry to hear about the loss for that family. Tragedies like that really put things into perspective doesn't it.

I love living in the country!!
